New Idea: Friends - The One With The Ballroom Dancing - S4E04

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 4:
In the fourth-season premiere, Ross and Rachel briefly reconcile after Ross pretends to read a long letter that Rachel wrote for him, but continues to insist that the two were on a break so they break up again. Joey dates Kathy (Paget Brewster), a girl that Chandler has a crush on. Kathy and Chandler later kiss, which causes drama between Chandler and Joey. Joey forgives Chandler only after he spends a day in a box as punishment. Phoebe becomes a surrogate mother for her brother and his wife Alice (Debra Jo Rupp). Monica and Rachel are forced to switch apartments with Joey and Chandler after losing a bet during a quiz game, but manage to switch back by bribing them with Knicks season tickets and a one-minute kiss (off-screen) between the girls. Ross begins dating an English woman named Emily (Helen Baxendale), and the season finale features their wedding in London. Chandler and Monica sleep together, and Rachel decides to attend Ross and Emily's wedding. While saying his vows, Ross uses the wrong name at the altar (Rachel's), to the shock of his bride and the guests.

The One With The Ballroom Dancing - S4E04
Joey chews out Mr. Treeger, the superintendent, for making Rachel cry; Mr. Treeger decides to evict Rachel and Monica (who have an illegal sublet of Monica's Grandmother's apartment). In order to smooth things over, Joey agrees to be Mr. Treeger's practice ballroom dancing partner. Chandler tries to end his membership at his gym; Ross goes with him for moral support but ends up joining as well. Phoebe struggles (unsuccessfully) to contain her desires for Rick, one of her massage clients; she ends up being fired and he turns out to be married.


Joey: He sticks up for Rachel because Mr Treeger made Rachel cry, but Monica and Rachel are illegally subletting the apartment and Mr Treeger wants to expose them. Joey tries to make things right and Mr Treeger agrees if Joey helps him to learn ballroom dancing. Treeger wants to impress Marge on The Super Ball for superintendents. Joey really enjoys the dance.

Chandler: He's a gym member, but he doesn't go. He can't quite because they always convince him to stay and they bring out Maria to do that. Ross goes with him and in the end they are both a member of the gym.

Ross: After helping Chandler quiting the gym he becomes a member as well and they are going to cut out of it at the source. They are going to the bank to close their account, but they end up with a joint banking account.

Rachel: She takes out the trash for the first time and Mr Treeger, the building manager, gave her a hard time because she clogged the trash chute.

Monica: Nothing much happens to her.

Phoebe: She doesn't want to go to work "Healing Hands" because she has a really gorgeous guy, Rick, as massageclient, but her boss mrs. Potter fires people for messing around with clients. She has made up her feet to do some feet flirting though. She massages him way too long and admits to him she has certain feelings for him. Her boss catches them kissing and Phoebe says he's her husband, but its his wife on the phone asking where he is. She got fired for it.
