New Idea: Friends - The One With Joey's New Girlfriend - S4E05

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 4:
In the fourth-season premiere, Ross and Rachel briefly reconcile after Ross pretends to read a long letter that Rachel wrote for him, but continues to insist that the two were on a break so they break up again. Joey dates Kathy (Paget Brewster), a girl that Chandler has a crush on. Kathy and Chandler later kiss, which causes drama between Chandler and Joey. Joey forgives Chandler only after he spends a day in a box as punishment. Phoebe becomes a surrogate mother for her brother and his wife Alice (Debra Jo Rupp). Monica and Rachel are forced to switch apartments with Joey and Chandler after losing a bet during a quiz game, but manage to switch back by bribing them with Knicks season tickets and a one-minute kiss (off-screen) between the girls. Ross begins dating an English woman named Emily (Helen Baxendale), and the season finale features their wedding in London. Chandler and Monica sleep together, and Rachel decides to attend Ross and Emily's wedding. While saying his vows, Ross uses the wrong name at the altar (Rachel's), to the shock of his bride and the guests.

The One With Joey's New Girlfriend - S4E05
Chandler introduces himself to a good looking girl (Kathy), only to find out that she's dating Joey; as they get to know each other, Chandler's feelings get deeper. Whenever Rachel is around, Ross goes out of his way to mention Amanda, a single mother he's been seeing; Rachel counters by dating Josh, a much younger man; however, Amanda uses Ross as a babysitter so she can date another man, and Josh steals from Rachel. Ross uses weird gestures he made up as a kid instead of offensive ones. Phoebe has a bad cold which makes her singing voice sexy; when she recovers she desperately tries to catch another cold; she even kisses Gunther.


Joey: He's dating Kathy and he doesn't have a clue about Chandler's feelings. He even thinks Chandler hates her. Chandler tries to keep up appearances so Joey wouldn't know he loves Kathy.

Chandler: He sees a pretty girl (Kathy) in the coffeehouse. He walks over her to talk to her, but it appears she already dates Joey.
She stays the night and they watch something with Ernie Kovacs at 2.30 together. It appears they have a lot in common (wonderbroom) and Chandler falls in love with her more and more.
He tells people secrets so they'll like him.

Ross: He and Rachel want to make eachother jealous.
Ross dates Amanda. But Rachel says they went to Chuck E. Cheese with the kids and they didn't even kiss. Chandler told her.
Then he has a date with Amanda, but he's just her nanny so she can go out with a guy she's rejecting for over a month.

Rachel: She dates Josh, a college student, but she thinks he steals from her and he does steal from Monica and give it to Rachel as a gift.
Her birthday is May 5th.

Monica: Nothing much happens to her. Except she "steals" Phoebe's cold and she wants it back. Rachel and Ross fight over their dates to make eachother jealous and Monica tells them the truth.

Phoebe: She has a cold and want to keep it cause it makes her sound sexy. When she hears Gunther might have a cold, she kisses him. He feels guilty and talks to Rachel about it.
