New Idea: TBBT - The Hamburger Postulate - S1E05

After being a (crazy) Friends-fan for nearly 2 decades I started to like The Big Bang Theory too (maybe because the end of the series has been announced). Anyway I want to do for The Big Bang Theory what I did for Friends. I don't know the episodes of The Big Bang Theory (TBBT) as by heart as I know Friends-episodes, but I am planning to also create careers, food,... from the show as I am doing/ did for Friends. In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the main characters of The Big Bang Theory in that certain episode. SPOILER You can then play this in the game as you wish. General happenings season 1: The lives of physicists Dr. Leonard Hofstadter and Dr. Sheldon Cooper are shaken up when an attractive young aspiring actress from Omaha, Nebraska named Penny moves into the apartment across the hall from theirs. Leonard begins to become hopelessly enamored of Penny, while she feels only platonic affection for him; as a result, she finds herself putting up with his closest and ever-present friends: his roommate, Sheldon, who appears borderline obsessive-compulsive; engineering whiz Howard Wolowitz, a desperately sex-crazed mama's boy who thinks that his 1960s-style clothing and hairstyle give him an air of cool hipness; and Dr. Rajesh "Raj" Koothrappali, who will not speak to her as he is too shy to talk to women (a case of selective mutism), unless intoxicated in which case he becomes a smooth talking yet highly overly aggressive womanizing flirt. During Season One, Sheldon loses his job for insulting his new boss, finds his ego bruised by a child prodigy, becomes unable to bear being part of a lie that Leonard has told, and is always attacking the world with a relentless need to assert his supremacy. Rajesh first learns that he can talk to women, but only when he is drunk, and Penny and Leonard finally go out in the season finale. It is so far the only season not to feature John Ross Bowie as the recurring character Barry Kripke and Kevin Sussman as Stuart Bloom. The Hamburger Postulate - S1E05 The guys, eating at the Cheesecake Factory where Penny works, are approached by Leslie Winkle. She wants Leonard to play cello in her string quartet as the other players are uncomfortable near the current cellist who was possibly irradiated at work. After the quartet practise in Leonard and Sheldon's apartment, Leslie seduces Leonard for the night, making Sheldon so uneasy that he repeatedly asks Penny's advice. Penny later congratulates Leonard, who tries to figure out what she meant. Leonard decides to pursue a real relationship with Leslie rather than an imaginary one with Penny, but at her lab, Leslie makes it clear she is not interested in a relationship: she just needed him for a one-night stand to satisfy her sex drive - which is now satisfied until New Year. Leonard later tells Penny, who reassures him and walks away smiling. Sheldon The guys are eating at the Cheesecakefactory where Penny works, but Sheldon doesn't like it as he doesn't like change. He wants to go to the Big Boy where they usually eat at Tuesdaynights. He gets really upset when he sees Leslie touched his board after spending the night with Leonard. Especially because she fixed his equations. At the end Sheldon wants to replace the Big Boy hamburger with the one of the Cheesecakefactory to be his new Tuesday hamburger. He wants to move the Big Boy to Thursday and skip the Soupplantation because you can't grow soup. Leonard Leslie meets the guys at the Cheesecakefactory where she meets Penny and then she asks Leonard to be a cellist in her quartet because Elliot Wong had a radioactive accident. When the practise is over Leslie stays and asks for a sexual relationship. Leonard wants to persue a real relationship, but after a one-night stand Leslie is good till New Years. Penny She asks what's the deal between Leslie and Leonard because she thinks they would make a cute couple. Leonard puts that in his head thinking what she could mean. Sheldon asks Penny for help. He doesn't know how to react on his roommate being with a girl. She doesn't say it litterally, but she is sad that Leonard has a girlfriend. When Leonard explains what Leslie said, she looks quite happy. Howard Nothing much happens to him. Rajesh Nothing much happens to him.
