New Storyline: The Goth's Year 1

It's not that I have much time to play because of my job, household (short: RL), but posting about the life of my simsfamilies on my blog is a motivation to create time for it as I want to have a blogpost a day. I'm still playing the Genderswapped Uberhood by sushigal007 at Modthesims. The storylines of the families is still the same as the regular storylines so I'm not going to put that on my blog, but I'll tell their future storylines I have in mind. It appears I play a slightly different storyline because of the genderswap. I also have put up a realistic economical and aging system which requires some Essential Mods which can be found here: http://s2idownloads.blogspot.be/p/the-essentials.html The essentials still need to be updated once in a while. As I go on playing I notice more and more essentials and there are still many TS2 creators who create new (essential to me) mods. Previously on The Goth's: https://s2idownloads.blogspot.com/2018/05/new-overview-creations-storylines.html The Goth's Year 1 Caspian and Donna are over for good. Donna might not have been after his money (though she didn't mind), but she just can't leave the boys next door alone. All the girls in the hood have a thing for him. He had an eye on Darell Dreamer, but she's not interested in having more children of her own. So now Caspian is really going for Mallory. He truly believes, as she has money enough on her own, that she is not after his inheritance and they can really become something good.

In meantime Bellamy is back. It was not just that he and Morticia needed a break, but Bellamy had a weakness for Donna and something must have happened there. He doesn't remember completly, but he realised it's best at Morticia's. She is over the top happy to have him back and in October 2001 they decide to get remarried. Alexandra is still doing great at school. She really hopes she'll get a letter from Hogwarts any time though Morticia hopes she will become a scientist. What will Alexandra decide and what does Bellamy think about all that has happened while he was gone?

In one year she's gotten promoted twice. She's now in level 3. But she still really enjoys painting as well. It's still her dream to has her own gallery. After all she is a Dreamer.

She's still together with Brandon Broke and realises she must move on from Caspian. Maybe it's not a bad thing chosing for Brandon instead of Caspian. After all Caspian still wants a child for his inheritance while she already has Diara. Brandon already has 3 children so it's obvious to her that he doesn't want any anymore. Or is she wrong in her assumption? After she threw up a lot one morning she checked, but she's not pregnant. This all makes her realise she really needs to talk about it with Brandon. Diara is really doing great at school. She gets a few scolarships which will really help her at University. She's still together with Lucifer and keeps him on the right track. She was doing great at work too. She got a few promotions at the same time as her mother. Unfortunatly a chance card went wrong and now she doesn't have a job anymore. No worries there. She can now really focus on her studies. Of course as being so close with Lucifer she's really friends with his brother (and his girlfriend) as well. To focus on her studies, Diara works hard on the computer. But as with all machines there's a huge chance it will break and they don't always have the money to let a repairman come over. So they try it themselves even though it might have consequences. It was quite a shock that this happened (no pun intented). But it all ended well. To celebrate they had a party and apparantly it was not the Dreamer's lucky year as the police had put an end to the party earlier than thought. Will 2002 be a better year for the Dreamer's?

New Idea: Repairshop

When an object is broken, instead of calling the repairman, your sim can call another sim in town. If they have a bad relationship, so the sim doesn't want to come, you can summon the hood repairsim with the summoner of the insiminator. When the repairsim is on your lot, you can make him/her selectable with the insiminator. Let the sim repair the object and pay him/her with a check, wallet,... New Teen Career: BSO Expo+ and Graphic Design - The School Project

I updated the package file so that the skillpoints needed are less than before. This because when choosing BSO there's no intention of going to college. It's possible, but it will be harder.

Both packagefile and overview have been changed accordingly.

This is not so much a teen career. It's a new school system. You can compare it to the 7 years of Hogwarts I made as 7 teen careers. But now the teens don't attend Hogwarts. They attend the Belgian School System. I explain everything about this School system in this post: https://s2idownloads.blogspot.com/2018/01/new-idea-school-project.html Keep in mind - Teens need to change to the "Vacation" school type found here: http://s2idownloads.blogspot.be/2013/12/new-school-boarding-school-vacation.html - Though teens don't go to regular school and don't make homework, they need to work very hard on their skills. - If you use another school type (like my school in shifts), teens can still go to school. - This is very interesting if you want your sims to go to college, but even when they don't go to college it's good to follow this school system to have some skills already when they start a career. - There's an upgrade for every career suiting the field of study the sim chose. E.g.: Field of study Economics-Math has the upgrade Economy - These careers will all have PTO3 so teens have enough time to work on their skills. - This career asks really a lot of skills from your teen sims. It's best to already have some skill points that are needed for this career.

The Advantages of the Firstborn Syndrom

First of all, what is the Firstborn syndrom? Every time you start a game and a baby is born, it's the first baby born in the loaded game. You close the game, open again and another baby is born then again it's the first baby born in that game session. Those babies look a like not just in their looks, but also personality and intrests,... (So it does not happen if in one game session two babies are born. 'Cause that would be the second baby born in that game session.) How to avoid it (simply explained and how I do it) Every time a pregnant sim (male or female) is about to give birth (so it will be a first baby born in that game session), I go to CAS, create a sim and roll the sim randomizer several times. Then I actually create the sim, create a sim of the opposite gender and then roll the pacifier (to create a child looking like the parents) several times. (I know rolling one of them (randomizer or pacifier) is enough, but it certainly doesn't hurt to do both and that's just my routine.) Now the advantage of firstborn syndrom You probably wonder how this Maxis' bug can be used to the player's advantage. One of the things I like in the game are twins, but when two babies are born at the same time they will never be identical twins (one is always second born). So what I would do when I want identical twins is using this firstborn syndrom to my advantage (you need insiminator to do this). My sim gets pregnant and gives birth (make sure it's the first baby born in that game session). Now save the game and close it completly. Start the game again and go to the house you were playing (where you want the identical twin). With insiminator you can make the sim pregnant again and speed up the pregnancy to birth right away. Then the baby is the first baby born in that game session and should (according to the firstborn syndrom) be nearly exactly the same as the baby who was already the first one born in the previous game session. Of course you need to make sure that the babies have the same sex. (Save before birth, go back in the house and if it's not the right gender, leave without saving and go back in the house,...).

New idea: Caterer instead of restaurant

CATERER INSTEAD OF RESTAURANT It's commonly known that it's not easy to open a restaurant in the game. So what I do is opening a caterer and sell the dishes like in a bakery instead of opening a restaurant. There can be seats too, but the sim had to buy the dishes and not order them from a menu. They can also take the dish at home and eat it there like a take away. I hope you like this idea and give it a try.
