  1. thanks for making this! watching chocolatecitysim explore this awesome tool on her sunday sims 2 stream. would it be possible to streamline the syncing function a bit? Maybe a pop-up where we can check/uncheck which pages/data we want synced and then do it all in 1-2 clicks? If not, that's understandable. It seems like there is a lot of clicking/confirming involved for sizeable hoods.

    1. Oh wow! I am so glad you like SimTracker2.0 so much and wow, it's even showcased already. 😊
I saw the showcase (though on high speed 'cause it was during my lunch hour) and I am so thrilled! It actually also makes me realize I may need to make some more videotutorials to make some things clearer. 🙈
The showcase really helps me a lot so I hope to see more. 😁
When watching it, I wanted to answer so many questions, but I actually don't know how to reach the people who watched it. I became a member of the Discord Server of chocolatecitysim so I hope there's a place there where I can explain a bit more and clear up some misunderstandings.
      To answer your question:
It's true there are a lot of confirming pop-ups, but those are actually coming from MS Access itself. Only the first one is programmed to be shown.
The reason why there are so many pop-ups is because the table ImportedSims (and ...Lots and ...Family) syncs with several other tables. You may count 1 table per feature (so 1 for personality, 1 for general info, 1 for height,...). Per table, there are 3 pop-ups because there are 3 queries needed per table sync. (Append to add records, update to update existing records and delete to delete removed records).
So especially for ImportedSims, it will become A LOT of pop-ups when all features are implemented.

LUCKILY there's a way to avoid ALL pop-ups: In Access go to File -> Options -> Client Settings -> Confirm and then uncheck "Action queries".

I am going to update the manual (+quick-step guide) and add an infobutton on those importing pages so simmers know where to change that.

Though this might help to avoid the annoying pop-ups, I'll think about your suggestion to streamline the syncing function so simmers can choose which table (personality, height...) they want to update anyway. As with all the future features that might not be a bad idea.
