Do you really want a boy, but do you always get a girl. Here is the sollution:



You can try following things (it's not sure that it works, but it can't hurt to try):

Try-Out 1:
When the man asks "Try for Baby", it might be a boy. If the woman asks "Try for Baby", it might be a girl.

Try-Out 2:
When the woman is going to give birth (she starts screaming), pause the game and save. When the baby doesn't have the gender you want, you can go back to the hood WITHOUT saving. Then you go back to the family to let the woman give birth again until the baby has the gender you want.

New Tutorial: How to have a diploma without going to college

Problem: You want your teenager to grow up to an adult, but you also want him/her to have a diploma without going to college.

Sollution: With this mod your sims can have a diploma WITHOUT going to college.

Explanation

Go to Miscellaneous -> Miscellaneous .
Choose the box with the sign of Batman on it.
Pick the sim you want to give a diploma.
Choose Upgrade Sim -> Pre-uni
Choose a major of which you want your sim to have a diploma (this only works with Maxis' Majors. This doesn't work with custom majors)
Now your sim has a diploma!

New Tutorial: How to change the last name

Situation 1:
When a sim is pregnant and has a baby before she is married, the baby will have the last name of the mother. When the mother and father get married after the baby was born, the baby still has the last name of the mother. So you want to change the last name of the baby.

Situatie 2: If you want a Family Tree with the last name like this e.g.: Landgraab I, Landgraab II, Landgraab III,...
This is only possible if you change the last name of the next heir.

How to:

Go to Buy Mode -> Miscelaneous -> Miscelaneous
Buy the tree named The Sims Blender.
Press the tree and choose More... -> Names...
Choose Change Someones First name.
Choose the sim whose name you'd like to change (remember the first name).
Type the last name you want.
Press the tree again and choose More... -> Names.
Choose Copy a First Name to Last Name.
Choose the sim again whose name you'd like to change.
Change the first name again.
Your sim's last name has been changed!

New Tutorial: How to be a student without leaving mom

When you have University you're obliged to go to that neighbourhood when you want to be a student. But this is not neccessary. Your sim can live in Pleasantview as a Young Adult AND going to college.

Very useful when your young adult has a child. 

You need the insimenator for this.
Change the age of your sim to young adult with the insimenator and then the sim is a young adult in Pleasantview.

New Tutorial: How to play in small screen

Do you want to chat on MSN !!while!! you play the Sims 2?

Here you can read how you do that!

When you installed the game, you should see a shortcut on your desktop.


Right-click on the shortcut. Go to properties and you should see this (target):

"C:\Program Files\The Sims2\The Sims 2 Free Time \TSBin\Sims2Launcher.exe"

Type behind that path –w. So it should now be:

"C:\Program Files\The Sims2\The Sims 2 Free Time \TSBin\Sims2Launcher.exe" -w

Next time the game will start in a small screen. In view options you change the resolution to 800x600.

New Challenge: Make something of your life

There are 6 levels in this challenge. Each level has got ten tasks which you have to achieve before you may proceed to the next level.


You don't need any expansion packs to play this challenge.
You have to do what the task tells you to do.
When you have managed to achieve all goals from the challenge, you may proceed to the next challenge.
The only cheat you may use is aging off(which you are probably going to need)

1: Mother and child

You are going to make an adult sim (m/f) and the parent of this sim with which you are going to play and you let them live in a little house.

Goals:
Be best friends with your mother
Keep your mother in platinum happiness
Don't hire any help (Your mother may not cook and/or clean)
Look for a job
Make at least $1,000
Pay the bills on time
Get at least 2 cooking skillpoints
Get at least 2 mechanical skillpoints
You are not allowed to get the skillpoints from books.
You have got 4 days to achieve your goal.


2: The hard reality

Now you are going to live on your own. You have to live completely independent, so the skills you need in the household need to be relatively good. You are allowed to modify the house to your own taste.

Goals:
Move away from your mother and buy a house which costs more then $20,000
You may not change your job
Get promoted to level 3
Stay best friends with your mother
Look for a neighbor who becomes your best friend
You aren't allowed to hire any help
You aren't allowed to get a bad mood
Improve your cooking skills with at least 1 point
Improve your mechanical skills with at least 2 points
You have got 4 days to achieve your goal


3: Party like an animal


Living together is not always rosy. You are not allowed to start a love-relation with your housemate.

Goals:
Let a best friend move in
Make sure there are seperate bathrooms and bedrooms
You are the one who has to do the household
You are not allowed to hire any help
Make sure your housemate always has platinum happiness
Get promoted to level 5
Throw a fantastic party
Get at least 3 skillpoints for creativity
Get at least 2 skillpoints for charisma
You have got 8 days to achieve your goal


4: True love

Let your housemate move out at the end.

Goals:
Get promoted to level 7
Improve your mechanical skills to at least 7 points
Improve your charisma skills to at least 4 points
Improve your creativity skills to at least 5 points
Improve your cooking skills to at least 8 points
Throw 3 fantastic parties and get two lovers
You aren't allowed to get caught by one of your lovers
You aren't allowed to hire any help
You and you housemate need to have platinum happiness all the time
You have got 7 days to achieve this goal


5: Babies

You choose one lover and you are going to live together with him/her. This means that you break up with the other lover and marry the one you choose.

Goals:
Get promoted to level 9
Get 2 kids
Grow one baby to toddler and the other one to child
You may not hire any help
Your partner stays at home to take care of the children
You partner may also do the houshold
Make sure that the kid is going to a private school
Make sure your kids have fantastic birthday parties
Make sure everybody in the family stays friends with each other
You have got 10 days to achieve this goal


6: Ultimate lifegoal

Achieve your lifegoal and take care of your children

Goals:
Get promoted to level 10
Save $30,000
Both of your children are going to private school (child and teen)
Throw fantastic birthday parties for your children
Make sure everybody has got platinum happiness
Get at least 8 for Charisma
Get at least 8 for Creativity
Get at least 6 for Logic
Fulfill the lifegoal your sim has
You have got 8 days to achieve this goal

Taking a break for unknown amount of time

Hi,

I don't have time for The Sims 2, (new) requests and all for some time. I will do the current requests, but I won't put a guideline on them so I can do them on my own time.

On a lot of places you'll find I take requests. I do, but I'm on a temporary break right now. So remember your requests till I have time to accept them again.

New Tutorial: Your own movies/TV show on Sims TV

First some important things:
1. The movie shouldn't be too long. (It's smaller (in MB) and takes less time to download)
2. YouTube is the best for short fun movies.
3. It should ALWAYS be AVI!
4. ALWAYS 128x128. Otherwise it will not look good on Sims TV.
5. ALWAYS 15 frames/seconde. It may be more, but then the file will be bigger.
6. You may remove or replace the files with extension .movie (default movies)
8. Channels came with Base Game, University, Seasons and Free Time.

Now the tutorial
First you decide which movie you want for which channel. I choose the trailer of the first Harry Potter movie for the channel Horrormovie Werewolf (came with Free Time) which I found on YouTube. I choose a trailer and not the whole movie as the movie should be short.

IMPORTANT: You have to watch the whole movie (trailer in this case) on YouTube first so it's fully loaded.

If you know which movie you want (YouTube or a file on your computer) go to this site:

This is what you need to fill in:
Bestand kiezen: Choose the file on your computer.
OF enter URL: Give the URL copied from YouTube
Change Size: 128x128 is ideal.
Change frame rate: 15 frames per second as it should be
Cut video: If the movie you chose is too long you can make it smaller by filling out the start- and endminute. The first 00 is hour. The second 00 are minutes and the third 00 are seconds.
Convert file: Check everything and then press Convert file.

Don't change anything else if you don't know what you're doing!

The longer the movie, the longer it will take to download.

Now you get this screen:

After a short while you get this screen:

You can fill out your e-mail and press Submit address.
If you do that, you may shut the window and even shut down your computer. You'll get an e-mail when the file is ready to download.
If you don't want to give your e-mail, you'll have to wait until the window Save As shows so you can save the file.

Where you need to place the file depends on which channel you chose (see overview at the bottom).

Project Realistic Ages SIMS 3

In addition to the Project Realistic Ages for SIMS 2, I can now present the same (Base Game) age mod for Sims 3. All the ages Short to Epic are the same and as followed:

Baby: 3 months = 3 days
Toddlers: 69 Days
Children: 84 Days
Teens: 72 Days

Young adults: 184 Days
Adults: 368 Days
Total of baby to adult: 780 days/12 = 65 years

Elders have no days, but a chance to die tied to the short, epic, ect age span length. It is 40%, 30%, 20%, 10%, 5%. With short being the highest and epic the lowest.

My biggest thanks go to Tiake on MTS as he made this mod and gave me permission to put it on a website.
