New Idea: TBBT - The Grasshopper Experiment - S1E08

After being a (crazy) Friends-fan for nearly 2 decades I started to like The Big Bang Theory too (maybe because the end of the series has been announced). Anyway I want to do for The Big Bang Theory what I did for Friends. I don't know the episodes of The Big Bang Theory (TBBT) as by heart as I know Friends-episodes, but I am planning to also create careers, food,... from the show as I am doing/ did for Friends. In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the main characters of The Big Bang Theory in that certain episode. SPOILER You can then play this in the game as you wish. General happenings season 1: The lives of physicists Dr. Leonard Hofstadter and Dr. Sheldon Cooper are shaken up when an attractive young aspiring actress from Omaha, Nebraska named Penny moves into the apartment across the hall from theirs. Leonard begins to become hopelessly enamored of Penny, while she feels only platonic affection for him; as a result, she finds herself putting up with his closest and ever-present friends: his roommate, Sheldon, who appears borderline obsessive-compulsive; engineering whiz Howard Wolowitz, a desperately sex-crazed mama's boy who thinks that his 1960s-style clothing and hairstyle give him an air of cool hipness; and Dr. Rajesh "Raj" Koothrappali, who will not speak to her as he is too shy to talk to women (a case of selective mutism), unless intoxicated in which case he becomes a smooth talking yet highly overly aggressive womanizing flirt. During Season One, Sheldon loses his job for insulting his new boss, finds his ego bruised by a child prodigy, becomes unable to bear being part of a lie that Leonard has told, and is always attacking the world with a relentless need to assert his supremacy. Rajesh first learns that he can talk to women, but only when he is drunk, and Penny and Leonard finally go out in the season finale. It is so far the only season not to feature John Ross Bowie as the recurring character Barry Kripke and Kevin Sussman as Stuart Bloom. The Grasshopper Experiment - S1E08 Raj introduces his parents, Dr. V.M. Koothrappali and Mrs. Koothrappali, to his friends via webcam. However, Raj is overwhelmed when his parents try to arrange him a date with Lalita Gupta, a childhood friend and dental student, as he cannot talk to women. To Raj's annoyance, Howard, using a fake Indian accent to impersonate Raj, phones Lalita to set up a date for them. Meanwhile, Penny takes up bar tending for some extra money. She practices mixing drinks with the guys, and they discover Raj is able to speak to women after drinking alcohol. They decide his date should be at Penny's restaurant so she and the guys can keep an eye on Raj's behavior when drinking. On his date, Raj becomes an obnoxious drunk. After Sheldon flatters Lalita with compliments comparing her to Princess Panchali, an Indian fairy tale princess, she takes him away for a meal, to Raj's horror. When Raj tries to explain all this to his parents, they are angry about his drinking. Leonard asks Sheldon if he plans to see Lalita again, but he replies that he already has a dentist. Sheldon He changes wallets, but there is one slot too little. He has a Justice League of America membershipcard, but he wants to keep it. He'd like to cancel his membership of the Planetarium because it was either that or the Museum of Natural History and the Planetarium doesn't have any dinosaurs. (I think Sheldon is a person who likes to be a member of everything, just to learn). Sheldon recognises Lalita as Princess Panchali. He tells her that and it looks like he's flirting with her. She's very flattered. She goes out to dinner with Sheldon. He doesn't understand he went on a date. Leonard Nothing much happens to him. Penny She finally convinces her boss to have a bar in the restaurant and she can make some drinks. She need guinea pigs to taste the cocktails she's making. Leonard would love to help her, but Raj is going through a hard time and doesn't drink. Raj whispers in Leonards ear that he would love to take up drinking (going through a hard time). So they'll help. Tequilla Sunrise for Leonard Grasshopper for Raj Virgin Cuba Libre for Sheldon Slippery niple for Howard, but he's out She does an experiment on Sheldon by making his Virgin Cuba Libre slutty. It appears he starts singing and playing piano in front of the whole restaurant when he's drunk. Howard Raj needs to call Lalita, but he can't talk to women so Howard impersonates Raj and calls her instead. He has a date, but he worries he won't be able to speak with her. Rajesh He introduces his parents to his friends. They think that Sheldon and Leonard are like Haroon and Tanvir who just adopted a cute little baby. His parents think he earns too little for an academic. They want Raj to meet Lalita Gupta who was fat and bullied him as a kid. He doesn't want an arranged marriage, but his friends (especially Sheldon) think it's a great idea. It's good for society. His parents don't know he can't talk to woman. Raj has a Grasshopper cocktail and apparantly alcohol helps him to talk to women. He goes to his date, drinking a grasshopper, but it doesn't go well. He can talk to women, but he clearly doesn't know how.
