Hey Sims fans! The next pre-beta of SimTracker2.0 is ready, and this time it comes with a full manual 📚💡

🧰 What is SimTracker2.0?

A fully stand-alone tool (built in Access, but no Microsoft Office required) that lets you track everything about your Sims world — households, Sims, neighbourhoods, funds, ages, events, the whole circus.

It centralises all your gameplay data, keeps it organised, and saves you from spreadsheets or random notes.

If it happens in your game, SimTracker can store it — and the manual walks you through every feature.

What’s inside the manual: ⚡ Quick step guide 🗂️ Logical contents table (Clickable) 📸 +80 pages (mostly screenshots, not walls of text!)

Two versions available: 1️⃣ With sample content – test the tool with examples from the game (though accuracy may vary) 🎮 2️⃣ Empty version – start fresh from zero

There’s also a reset button to wipe everything ⚠️ – Make a backup first! Use at your own risk!

The Sims 2 Idea Let’s Play website has been growing for quite some time. What began as a space to share playthroughs has turned into a complete reference for structured and realistic Sims 2 gameplay.

Besides the Let’s Plays — featuring families like the Pleasants, Burbs, and Goth-Landgraabs — the site also explains the systems behind them: the logic, rules, and tools that keep everything consistent. You’ll find features like the Size Ratio Calculator, Project Realistic Ages, School Selector, Driver’s License, and Retirement systems, all aimed at bringing more realism into the game.

🚧 SimTracker 2.0 – Pre-Beta Testing is Live! 🚧

I’m finally ready to share the pre-beta version of SimTracker 2.0!

Not everything’s up and running yet (it’s a pre-beta, after all), but here’s what you can explore right now:

Settings Page – fully functional, though a few more options will be added later.

Data & Lists – includes Import & Export features.

Neighbourhoods – complete and ready for testing under the SimTracker 2.0 section.

Lots – you can open it, but it’s still a work in progress.

Reports & Letters – nothing to see there yet!

Please feel free to click around and test things out. Your feedback at this stage is super important, especially since I can’t fully test the .accde version myself (I use the full Microsoft Access).

You can already add data, but please wait until the official “go live” release before using it for regular play.

New Idea: W817 - 8teraf (Afterwards)

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the main characters of W817 ((W"eight" = Wait) Dutch: Wait A Second) in that certain episode. It's a Flemish show that can be best compared with Friends. I call it "The Flemish Friends". I do this because it's mainly about a group of students in college and so with these episode ideas we have something new to play for our sims in college. Or you can play this in the game as you wish. I know W817 maybe even better by heart than Friends (that's saying something). Also like Friends this series was made at the end of the ninties, begin nillies so this is actually very suitable for The Sims 2 as there were no smartphones or internet like we know now. Years after the end of the show, the actors came together to make a movie "8teraf" (pun "Afterwards"). It's about what happened to the characters after they graduated and where they are now (18 years later) in life. Where are the characters now The old dorm crew from W817 is back together for Carlo's wedding weekend, and naturally, nothing goes to plan. Steve is in total denial about getting older, hiding behind forced optimism and "BeSteve in Yourself" pep talks. He's currently living in his van—"just temporary," of course—because apparently you have to hit rock bottom before climbing up again. When the wedding singer arrives, Steve goes all in, only to get rejected. In a dramatic reveal, he shows his bald head, and while the singer doesn't care, Steve still ends up heartbroken… but at least he's finally being real. Bridget wasn't even invited—Steve forwarded the invite—but shows up anyway. She claims she met someone who's conveniently away in Geneva, though that's a lie. In reality, she's busy running her real estate business with 11 employees and 3 projects, but still feels something's missing. When Carlo's wedding falls apart, he and Bridget realise the spark is still there and decide to give their relationship another shot. Tom and Ellen are still together, but barely see each other thanks to Ellen's two bestselling books. Carlo's wedding weekend is supposed to be their chance to reconnect, but Tom spends more time making prank vlog ideas with Jasmin. When Ellen tries to have a serious talk, Tom mistakes it for one of Jasmin's pranks, prompting Ellen to break up with him. Only later, when Jasmin sets him straight, does Tom realise he blew it—and he ropes her into helping him make a video to win Ellen back. Zoe is still the same Ibiza party animal, burning through lovers faster than cocktails. But the weekend makes her realise what she's been missing. She never got her psychology degree, but the drama around her is enough to inspire a killer thesis. By the end, she's ready to become a doctor in psychology. Akke is now a VR gaming addict. He and Hanna hit it off—mainly because Hanna thought she was falling for Carlo online, but it was actually Akke she'd been chatting with. Once the truth comes out, Akke confesses his love, and they end up together. Jasmin has gone full influencer mode, vlogging everything for likes and views—especially the chaos of the weekend. Rival influencer Oswald might be competition, but her +10,000-a-month lifestyle is all that matters to her… until her meddling accidentally helps fix Tom and Ellen. Carlo, co-owner of the wildly successful Borfius International with Akke, is supposedly marrying Hanna, who, bizarrely, hasn't even been to his house. He's avoiding questions about Bridget at all costs and claims Akke is in Japan (though Akke's laugh is unmistakably present). The real scandal? Carlo actually has two fiancées: Hanna, who fell for "Carlo" over chat (but it was Akke), and Isabel, a blatant gold-digger. When Hanna learns the truth, Carlo picks Isabel—until he's standing at the altar, realises he's still in love with Bridget, and calls the whole thing off. By the end of the weekend, hearts are broken, couples reshuffle, and everyone leaves with either a second chance at love, a new career path, or a slightly bruised ego… and Jasmin probably leaves with the most views she's ever had. Relationships: In love with Ellen, best friends with Jasmin, friendly with Steve and Carlo. Ellen Aspiration: Knowledge Personality: Neat, Serious, Nice, some Playfulness Career: Psychologist / Author (2 bestselling books) Bio: Ellen is intelligent, composed, and overworked. Her relationship with Tom is falling apart, and when he mistakes her heartfelt talk for a prank, she ends things. Still loves him but needs proof he's serious. Relationships: Dating Tom (rocky), friends with Zoe, neutral with Jasmin. Zoe Aspiration: Pleasure Personality: Outgoing, Playful, Sloppy, Nice Career: None (lives off Ibiza party life) Bio: Zoe is a globe-trotting party animal with lovers who never last more than a week.
