New version: SimTracker2.0 pre-beta v6

This is a big update introducing several new core systems and improvements across the project.

What’s new

* Education (Default + custom schools in game)

* (Custom) Careers

* Business & shareholders

* Skills (default for now)

* Interests (default for now)

* Hobbies (default for now)

* Driving licence (based on PNM) (still to be improved)

* Various improvements to existing features

* Bug fixes throughout multiple modules

Data & compatibility

* A separate *SimTracker2.0 emptied version* is available

Still in development

* Exported tables (to import later) for Careers & Education are not included yet

→ still under investigation to see what's possible

This release adds more depth and expands several core systems at once, laying important groundwork for future updates.

There’s still plenty to refine, so if you notice anything that doesn’t work as expected, behaves oddly, or could be improved, feel free to let me know. Even small observations help a lot in making the next versions more stable and complete.

PS: Summer break is coming up, so the next big update might take a bit longer than usual. That said, I’ll still be around, and I’ll be working on other Sims projects in the meantime (more like a dev break than a summer break )

New prebeta version of SimTracker2.0 is getting closer 👀

Today, the new School and Career features were fully completed, and I’m currently finishing and importing several large data lists.

The upcoming version will include:

• Around 300 Lifetime Wants

• About 25 Aspirations

• Expanded tracking systems

• Many smaller improvements and fixes

Monday will be another testing day before moving on to polishing the layout and interface a bit more. Not everything will be fully finalized yet in this prebeta version, but the foundation is becoming very solid.

I also couldn’t resist already taking a look at Reports. The original plan was to leave that for New Year 2026/2027… but curiosity won. 😅

So I hope I can create that feature sooner than planned.

After that, I’ll start working on (video)tutorials before the new version is up for download.

Slowly turning into the overcomplicated Sims management tool nobody asked for… and exactly the one I wanted to build. 😅

🚀 SimTracker 2.0 – Pre-Beta Version (v5, March 2026) Released!

Last Saturday (March 7th, 2026) I updated SimTracker2.0 (prebeta) to version 5 and uploaded it on SFS.
Today I found out it was already showcased the next day! I cannot believe it that people actually use it. 😅

This is going to be a longer post than usual because I'm going to give you the original post for prebeta version 5, but also some comments on the showcase to clear some misunderstandings.

After months of hard work, SimTracker2.0 v5 is finally ready! 🎉

What’s new:

• Updated SimTracker2.0 database ✨

• Refreshed User Guide 📖

• Updated Quickstep Guide ⚡

• A brand new empty version for those who want a fresh start (still needs some testing, and keep in mind you might need to export/import tables between versions) 🧪

If you’re new or need a refresher, the tutorial video from version 3 is still fully relevant 🎥. More tutorial videos will come in the future, but for now, these guides + video have you covered.

Version

The current version is Prebeta Version 5 (not 4).

Quick-Step Guide
The guide was updated to:

• Clarify which SimPE version to use and where to find it.

• Explain how to disable the repetitive confirmation popups when running action queries.

Implemented Pages

• Only the Sim page fully works.

• Deceased Sims, Deceased Pets and Pets are not fully implemented yet.

• Same with the ones that cannot be clicked.

Empty Pages
Many tabs appear empty (dark or light background).
That is normal. These are planned features that are not built yet because this release is still prebeta.

Missing Data
Not all data is shown because these tables were synced while they were empty:

• ImportedSims

• ImportedFamily

• ImportedLots

This is further explained in the Quick-Step Guide.

Pictures
The Quick-Step Guide also explains how to display the pictures for:

• Lots

• Households

• Relationships

• Sims

• Photoalbum

Popups (why they appear)
Each feature in SimTracker2.0 has its own backend tables (General Info, Pregnancy, Height, Personality, etc.).
The ImportedSims table must sync with each of them. (Same for ImportedLots and ImportedFamily.)

Every feature needs 3 queries:

• Append

• Update

• Delete

Example:
4 features → 12 confirmation popups.

They may look similar but each query performs a different action.

Follow the updated Quick-Step Guide to disable these confirmation popups.

Future Update
A later version of SimTracker2.0 will add an info button on the Imported pages explaining:

• when not to sync

• how to avoid the popups.

I hope this clears up some things. And that the annoying popups are now gone 😅🙈
