All the lifespans I made work, even though a lot of people say it doesn't work in their game.
Lifespan
When you put the lifespan in you downloadfolder and you start the game, you won't see any change.
The sim has to grow up first, and then you'll see the different (from default) amount of days left. New made sims (after the mod is intalled) will be effected from the start. They don't need to grow up first. There is also a mod so the lifespan works right away so there's no need to grow up the sim: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?p=5248917#post5248917
Lifespan for plantsims
When a sim turns into a plantsim he/she will keep the lifespan of the stage he/she was in right before it turned into a plantsim. When the plantsim grows up, the lifespan will change in the span of the download.
Petslifespan and Universityspan
This is the same (as the lifespan) with Pets and University.
Pregnancyspan
Sims who are pregnant at the moment you put the pregnancyspan in your downloadfolder, won't be effected. New pregnant sims will be effected.
The pregnancyspanmod has some other BCON's in the package too. If it the span doesn't work, please, contact me personally on Facebook (available at this blog).
Skillspan
This should work immediatly.
Seasonspan
Normally this should work immediatly like the skillspan. If not, wait a few days until the season changes.
Important
Be sure you only have one lifespan at a time in your downloadfolder! If you have a lifespan only for plantsims don't download another one for normal sims. You'll have to choose.

Cosmetology Career ~ The life of a cosmetologist involves cutting and styling hair, providing manicures and pedicures and generally helping the public look prettier. Feeling up to the challenge? You'll have to do the more mundane jobs first before the glory sets in but it'll be worth the wait!
1. Floor Sweeper ~ Are you ready to colour, style, and cut hair? Well, you're not there just yet. You are a Floor Sweeper! Hide your face, and turn away from the customers, this job is kind of embarrassing. After the customer gets his or her hair tended to, it is your job to sweep up any hair on the floor.

It's great to have to escort grouchy old women to a chair and have to go right back to the counter while someone else is doing your dream job.

Lientebollemeis asked me to convert some of her Sims 2 careers and I was very happy to do that! So this is one of her careers, Veterinarian! http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=397773 It was requested for the Sims 2 by Lizzietrots.
You find here a conversion for the Sims 3. So any additional texts, info etc are by me, but the original idea is from Lientebollemeis and Lizzietrots.
Here is the full information for the career for Sims 3. The career is located at the Hospital and the focus is on Logic, Athletic, Charisma and Handiness. It has one custom tone, Observe Veterinary Surroundings, which builds the logic skill. It also has custom uniforms for levels 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
Career Levels
1. Dog Walker ~ Arrive to work and start walking! Taking care of the dogs, cats and small pets is very time consuming, and a little dirty. But hard work will pay off in the end! Wages: §18/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Work Hours: 8.00am ~ 1.00pm
2. Laboratory Technician ~ Lab tests must be done correctly and efficiently, in order to ensure the work-ups for the patients are useful. Sometimes you get blood on you, sometimes the equipment malfunctions. Wages: §26/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Work Hours: 10.00am ~ 6.00pm
3. Kennel Manager ~ You have been hired to oversee the care of hospitalized patients and animals in boarding. It's difficult to maintain a kennel full of barking dogs and frisky felines, but the management position has given you the opportunity to perfect your knowledge on behaviour! Wages: §30/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Work Hours: 8.00am ~ 1.00pm
4. Veterinary Assistant ~ You are the veterinarian's right hand when it comes to getting patients into rooms, taking vitals, collecting information and searching for a diagnosis. Make sure that everything is neat and tidy, run when called, and never tough sterilized equipment. Wages: §37/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Work Hours: 8.00am ~ 6.00pm
5. Technician Manager ~ You're moving up in the ranks but it just got more difficult: everyone comes to you for questions and concerns, clients confide in you and if someone messes up, it's on your shoulders! You are able to provide for the patients and you become the medium between the vet and his employees. Just keep an eye on everyone else, it's your duty to make sure the practise runes correctly! Wages: §45/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Work Hours: 9.00am ~ 7.00pm
6. Vet School Student ~ Congratulations! You are now going into debt by paying for school, where you must not only study through the night to maintain your grades, you must also make sure you are able to work in stressful situations! Most of the time, technicians get short because your knowledge is all book based, but that's OK, it will pay off in the end. Wages: §60/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Work Hours: 10.00am ~ 8.00pm
7. Surgical Residency ~ Eight years of school and you are in a world where you start to shake and sweat as you are handed the scalpel. Clients shy away from you because you look far too young to be dealing out diagnoses and treatments, you become much more quiet because you are wary of providing an incorrect answer. But over time, you'll learn and grow, and become more comfortable with your new certification. Wages: §72/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Work Hours: 8.00am ~ 6.00pm
8. Associate Veterinarian ~ You've been doing this for years, have developed a steady rapport with your clients, and have seen your patients grow from puppies and kittens to healthy, active adults. You now help to oversee a private practise, where the hours are more flexible. Wages: §90/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Work Hours: 9.00am ~ 7.00pm
9. Internal Medicine Specialist ~ Clients come to you for answers because frankly, you're the most sought after! Years upon years of studying, researching and conducting trials have allowed you enough insight in the proper therapies that help to ensure long, happy lives for your patients. Wages: §275/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Work Hours: 9.00am ~ 1.00pm
10. Not-For-Profit-Owner ~ It's your chance to give back to those around you, and by opening a no-kill advocacy group, you are giving an opportunity to thousand of animals who need someone to love them! Your years of expertise as a veterinarian has allowed you the proper insight to the best care needed for your furry companions, and you want to tell the world! Wages: §306/hour Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Work Hours: 10.00am ~ 2.00pm

June, 2021 Can I create careers for TS1, TS2, TS3, TS4? TS1: I haven't tried it (yet), but basicly it's possible to create careers for TS1. The only downside is that it's not possible to create NEW careers. So this means that a custom career must always overwrite a Maxis career. TS2: Careers for TS2 is one of my specialties in the meantime. I have been creating careers for TS2 since 2010. TS3: I tried and tried and tried, but yet I haven't been able to create careers for TS3. So the chance that I will create TS3 careers by request is very low. TS4: I feel it's harder to create TS4 careers than TS3 careers. I don't think I'll ever start creating them. But if there are creators who want to convert my TS2 careers to TS4, please, contact me on Facebookmessenger (sidebar of this blog) July, 2015
I have a new computer now, but still I don't have the modding talent to create for TS3. I'm now trying with TS4, but no luck with that game either. I think I will stick to TS2 only.
About the conversions: Missyhissy did make some conversions, but then suddenly decided not to anymore. She doesn't reply to my mails (I don't want to stalk her so I gave up on that months ago) anymore either. I don't know why, but she just ignores them.
June, 2012 Sorry to say that I'm not able to create anything for Sims 3. Not only is my computer too old and too slow to create and test Sims 3 creations, but I also don't have the modding talent to create for it.
So I asked some Sims 3 career creators to convert The Sims 2 careers I made to Sims 3. And I'm very happy to say MissyHissy has made a few conversions. How many and when there will be new conversions is up to her. At the moment she doesn't except requests so I don't know when there will be new conversions if there will be.

Do you really want a boy, but do you always get a girl. Here is the sollution:
You can try following things (it's not sure that it works, but it can't hurt to try):
Try-Out 1:
When the man asks "Try for Baby", it might be a boy. If the woman asks "Try for Baby", it might be a girl. Try-Out 2:
When the woman is going to give birth (she starts screaming), pause the game and save. When the baby doesn't have the gender you want, you can go back to the hood WITHOUT saving. Then you go back to the family to let the woman give birth again until the baby has the gender you want.
Go to Miscellaneous -> Miscellaneous .
Choose the box with the sign of Batman on it.
Pick the sim you want to give a diploma.
Choose Upgrade Sim -> Pre-uni
Choose a major of which you want your sim to have a diploma (this only works with Maxis' Majors. This doesn't work with custom majors)
Now your sim has a diploma!
Situation 1:
When a sim is pregnant and has a baby before she is married, the baby will have the last name of the mother. When the mother and father get married after the baby was born, the baby still has the last name of the mother. So you want to change the last name of the baby.
Situatie 2:If you want a Family Tree with the last name like this e.g.: Landgraab I, Landgraab II, Landgraab III,... This is only possible if you change the last name of the next heir.

How to:
Go to Buy Mode -> Miscelaneous -> Miscelaneous
Buy the tree named The Sims Blender.
Press the tree and choose More... -> Names...
Choose Change Someones First name.
Choose the sim whose name you'd like to change (remember the first name).
Type the last name you want.
Press the tree again and choose More... -> Names.
Choose Copy a First Name to Last Name.
Choose the sim again whose name you'd like to change.
Change the first name again.
Your sim's last name has been changed!
When you have University you're obliged to go to that neighbourhood when you want to be a student. But this is not neccessary. Your sim can live in Pleasantview as a Young Adult AND going to college.
Very useful when your young adult has a child. You need the insimenator for this. Change the age of your sim to young adult with the insimenator and then the sim is a young adult in Pleasantview.
There are 6 levels in this challenge. Each level has got ten tasks which you have to achieve before you may proceed to the next level.
You don't need any expansion packs to play this challenge.
You have to do what the task tells you to do.
When you have managed to achieve all goals from the challenge, you may proceed to the next challenge.
The only cheat you may use is aging off(which you are probably going to need)

1: Mother and child
You are going to make an adult sim (m/f) and the parent of this sim with which you are going to play and you let them live in a little house.
Goals:
Be best friends with your mother
Keep your mother in platinum happiness
Don't hire any help (Your mother may not cook and/or clean)
Look for a job
Make at least $1,000
Pay the bills on time
Get at least 2 cooking skillpoints
Get at least 2 mechanical skillpoints
You are not allowed to get the skillpoints from books.
You have got 4 days to achieve your goal.
2: The hard reality
Now you are going to live on your own. You have to live completely independent, so the skills you need in the household need to be relatively good. You are allowed to modify the house to your own taste.
Goals:
Move away from your mother and buy a house which costs more then $20,000
You may not change your job
Get promoted to level 3
Stay best friends with your mother
Look for a neighbor who becomes your best friend
You aren't allowed to hire any help
You aren't allowed to get a bad mood
Improve your cooking skills with at least 1 point
Improve your mechanical skills with at least 2 points
You have got 4 days to achieve your goal
3: Party like an animal
Living together is not always rosy. You are not allowed to start a love-relation with your housemate.
Goals:
Let a best friend move in
Make sure there are seperate bathrooms and bedrooms
You are the one who has to do the household
You are not allowed to hire any help
Make sure your housemate always has platinum happiness
Get promoted to level 5
Throw a fantastic party
Get at least 3 skillpoints for creativity
Get at least 2 skillpoints for charisma
You have got 8 days to achieve your goal
4: True love
Let your housemate move out at the end.
Goals:
Get promoted to level 7
Improve your mechanical skills to at least 7 points
Improve your charisma skills to at least 4 points
Improve your creativity skills to at least 5 points
Improve your cooking skills to at least 8 points
Throw 3 fantastic parties and get two lovers
You aren't allowed to get caught by one of your lovers
You aren't allowed to hire any help
You and you housemate need to have platinum happiness all the time
You have got 7 days to achieve this goal
5: Babies
You choose one lover and you are going to live together with him/her. This means that you break up with the other lover and marry the one you choose.
Goals:
Get promoted to level 9
Get 2 kids
Grow one baby to toddler and the other one to child
You may not hire any help
Your partner stays at home to take care of the children
You partner may also do the houshold
Make sure that the kid is going to a private school
Make sure your kids have fantastic birthday parties
Make sure everybody in the family stays friends with each other
You have got 10 days to achieve this goal
6: Ultimate lifegoal
Achieve your lifegoal and take care of your children
Goals:
Get promoted to level 10
Save $30,000
Both of your children are going to private school (child and teen)
Throw fantastic birthday parties for your children
Make sure everybody has got platinum happiness
Get at least 8 for Charisma
Get at least 8 for Creativity
Get at least 6 for Logic
Fulfill the lifegoal your sim has
You have got 8 days to achieve this goal
