New Idea: Friends - The One Where Chandler Crosses the Line - S4E07

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 4:
In the fourth-season premiere, Ross and Rachel briefly reconcile after Ross pretends to read a long letter that Rachel wrote for him, but continues to insist that the two were on a break so they break up again. Joey dates Kathy (Paget Brewster), a girl that Chandler has a crush on. Kathy and Chandler later kiss, which causes drama between Chandler and Joey. Joey forgives Chandler only after he spends a day in a box as punishment. Phoebe becomes a surrogate mother for her brother and his wife Alice (Debra Jo Rupp). Monica and Rachel are forced to switch apartments with Joey and Chandler after losing a bet during a quiz game, but manage to switch back by bribing them with Knicks season tickets and a one-minute kiss (off-screen) between the girls. Ross begins dating an English woman named Emily (Helen Baxendale), and the season finale features their wedding in London. Chandler and Monica sleep together, and Rachel decides to attend Ross and Emily's wedding. While saying his vows, Ross uses the wrong name at the altar (Rachel's), to the shock of his bride and the guests.

Chandler becomes further frustrated when he accidentally sees Kathy coming out of the shower. Joey is late for a date with Kathy because he's on a date with someone else; Chandler and Kathy spend time alone together and they kiss; Chandler feels so guilty that he refurnishes the apartment; Kathy breaks up with Joey, and he suspects there is another man; Chandler admits it was him, causing a rift between himself and Joey. Ross rediscovers his musical "sound," but he isn't really as good as he and Phoebe seem to believe; Phoebe doesn't want to perform because she feels dwarfed by Ross's musical gift.


Joey: He's with Kathy, but he asks out another girl Casey. Chandler convinces him to choose and wants him to choose Casey, but Joey doesn't get the hint and chooses Kathy. He thinks Chandler likes Casey.
Chandler tells Joey about them kissing and Joey gets really made at Chandler. He really crossed the line.

Chandler: His feelings for Kathy makes him feel really bad as she's in the apartment with Joey all the time and now he saw her nakes. He tells everyone (except Joey). Kathy is with Chandler waiting for Joey to go for dinner, but he's running a bit late (being on a date with Casey). Chandler and Kathy start talking and Kathy is giving him a haircut. Chandler is really tensed and they end up kissing.
He buys new furniture out of guilt.

Ross: Phoebe got stuck with the lines for a song and Ross says she can just use "bumamanah" and go to the next line. They start to discuss that Ross started playing keyboards in high school and in college he really started to work on "The Sound". He locked himself up in the basement for hours to work on it.

Rachel: She wants to go to the new Italian restaurant in town. Joey can't go cause he has to dinner dates and he walks out eating a sandwich to get ready for his dinner dates. Monica and Phoebe can't go because they have to prepare a catering job and Rachel doesn't like to go alone because she would feel she's like on display or something. Eventually she went alone and had a great time.
Guy (a guy at the coffeehouse) asks her out, but she says no because she has plans with herself. Even though he's cute and he's a doctor.
She's eating out alone again and then sees Guy coming in. They agree to meet the weekend after next, but Guy thinks she's a freak eating alone.

Monica: She thanks God for her dad soundproofing the basement when hearing Ross' Sound.

Phoebe: She is totally into Ross' sound that she doesn't want to play in Central Perk anymore. Until Ross plays bad (on purpose) so she goes up on stage again. The others don't get The Sound at all.
