New Idea: Friends - The One With The Dirty Girl - S4E06

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 4:
In the fourth-season premiere, Ross and Rachel briefly reconcile after Ross pretends to read a long letter that Rachel wrote for him, but continues to insist that the two were on a break so they break up again. Joey dates Kathy (Paget Brewster), a girl that Chandler has a crush on. Kathy and Chandler later kiss, which causes drama between Chandler and Joey. Joey forgives Chandler only after he spends a day in a box as punishment. Phoebe becomes a surrogate mother for her brother and his wife Alice (Debra Jo Rupp). Monica and Rachel are forced to switch apartments with Joey and Chandler after losing a bet during a quiz game, but manage to switch back by bribing them with Knicks season tickets and a one-minute kiss (off-screen) between the girls. Ross begins dating an English woman named Emily (Helen Baxendale), and the season finale features their wedding in London. Chandler and Monica sleep together, and Rachel decides to attend Ross and Emily's wedding. While saying his vows, Ross uses the wrong name at the altar (Rachel's), to the shock of his bride and the guests.

Ross dates a fantastically beautiful paleontologist (Cheryl); everything is going great until he finds out she's incredibly messy. Chandler buys a rare copy of Kathy's favorite book for her birthday, but then has to make sure that Joey's gift is good, too. Phoebe lends Monica money so she can make a more serious attempt to get her catering business going; Monica has a little trouble collecting payment from a client. Rachel strives to finish a crossword puzzle all by herself.


Joey: He first didn't want to give Kathy a birthday present because they were just going out for a few weeks. He buys her a pen with a clock and a coupon of Joey love, but then he gives her the book The Velveteen Rabbit Chandler wanted to give Kathy.

Chandler: He buys an extremely expensive book the original The Velveteen Rabbit as a birthday gift for Kathy, but it says too much that he loves her so he gives it to Joey to give her. Chandler gives her the pen with a clock that Joey wanted to give her. Kathy knows the book came from Chandler.

Ross: He dates a really hot girl from work, Cheryl. She's also a paleontologist. At the end of the date she invites him in, but her apartment is really dirty. She's worried about Mitzi her hamster. She hasn't seen her in a while. She doesn't want to go to Ross' apartment because she thinks his place has a weird smell.

Rachel: She wants to fill out a crossword all by herself. When she does there's no one to hug her. Gunther runs over to her, but he trips and is too late as Phoebe walks in the coffeehouse.

Monica: She wanted to turn down the catering job. A funeral with 60 guests. She doesn't have the money to take of such a big event on such a short notice. Even though she hasn't worked for months. Phoebe and Monica decide to become partners in catering.

Phoebe: She convinces Monica to accept the catering job by lending her the money. She also helps Monica with the next catering job she has the next day as she hasn't worked for months. Monica is afraid to ask for the payment at the end of the catering job so Phoebe does that for her.
