New Idea: Friends - The One With All The Thanksgiving Flashbacks - S5E08

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER You can then play this in the game as you wish. The season features Monica and Chandler trying to keep their new relationship a secret from their friends. Phoebe gives birth to triplets in the show's 100th episode. She gives birth to a boy, Frank Jr. Jr., and two girls: Leslie and Chandler. Emily states that the only condition in which she would remain married to Ross is if he stops all communication with Rachel. Ross agrees, but during a last dinner with all six main characters together, Emily phones Ross and, upon discovering Rachel is there, realizes she does not trust him, which ends the marriage. Phoebe begins a relationship with a police officer, Gary (Michael Rapaport), after finding his badge and using it as her own. Monica and Chandler go public with their relationship, to the surprise and happiness of their friends. They decide to get married on a trip to Las Vegas, but, change their plans after witnessing Ross and Rachel drunkenly stumble out of the wedding chapel. The One With All The Thanksgiving Flashbacks - S5E08 After Thanksgiving dinner at Monica's, the gang tells stories about their worst Thanksgivings ever. In a series of flashbacks, we see Chandler learning of his parent's divorce (1978); Phoebe losing an arm (twice) in past lives (1862 and 1915); Joey with his head in a turkey (1992); Chandler hurting Monica's feelings (1987); and Monica getting a little more revenge than she planned, when Chandler loses a toe (1988). Rachel She says it's the best Thanksgiving dinner Monica ever cooked. She asked to play the game that everyone says something they're thankful for. After Chandler and Phoebe's worse Thanksgiving she says she knows Monica's worst Thanksgiving. Phoebe claims she knows and starts telling. In Monica's first worst Thanksgiving story it came up that Chip dumped Rachel for Nancy Branson. But later Chip wants Rachel back. She starts telling the story she meant saying it's mOnica's worst Thanksgiving. It's Thanksgiving 1988. Rachel had to change her major again because there were never enough parking spots at Psychology. Monica is thin and Chandler is impressed and starts flirting with her. Ross has a new girlfriend, Carol. She wanted to get him back for calling her fat. She wants to humilliate him. She wants him to think she wants to have sex with him so when he's naked she can point at him and laugh. Rachel gives her the advice that everything around her turns her on. But it doesn't go right and a knife falls on CHandler's foot. Instead of bringing the toe on ice, Monica brought a carrot and then it was too late to save Chandler's toe. Monica She really doesn't want to tell her worst Thanksgiving story, because she knows it will upset Chandler. Thanksgiving 1987. Monica is still fat and Ross is at college for his first year. He brings over Chandler (his roommate and lead singer of their band Way No Way). Ross tries to talk to Rachel and get her attention, but she's clearly not interested. She's the girl he writes all the songs for. Chandler hates Thanksgiving and doesn't eat any Thanksgiving food. So Monica cooks mac and cheese for him. She tries to talk to him, but he's clearly not interested. Ross wants to ask Rachel out and wants it to last all night and Monica overhears Chandler say "You can't leave me alone with your fat sister." That was for Monica the sign to stop eating. Phoebe She had a worse Thanksgiving than Chandler though not in this lifetime (1862). Thanksgiving 1992, she claims it's Monica's worst Thanksgiving (that Rachel wanted to tell) because Joey had a turkey stuck on his head to scare Chandler. But it can't have been the story Rachel wanted to tell because she didn't know about it. Joey Except for the turkey story nothing is told about him. Chandler He claims being the king of bad Thanksgivings and he won't let Ross swoop in with his bad marriage. His worst Thanksgiving memory is when his parents told him they would have a divorce (1978). It didn't mean they don't love him. It just meant that his father would rather sleep with the houseboy than with his mother. He says he's really really sorry calling Monica fat. But that wasn't the Thanksgiving Rachel was talking about. He gets upset with Monica after hearing why he lost his toe. Monica tries to make up to him by making him laugh putting a turkey on her head like Joey did. It works and while laughing Chandler says "I love you" to Monica for the first time. He denies it right after. Ross He sarcasticly asks if he should be more thankful for his divorce or his eviction. Phoebe didn't think he would be able to come up with anything. He thinks it's the worst thanksgiving ever.
