New Idea: Friends - The One With The Metaphorical Tunnel - S3E4

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 3:
Season three takes on a significantly greater serialized format. Rachel begins working at Bloomingdale's, an upscale department store chain, and Ross becomes jealous of her colleague, Mark. Rachel decides to take a break; and Ross, hurt and drunk, sleeps with someone else, causing Rachel to break up with him. In the meantime, Chandler has a hard time dealing with their breakup because it reminds him of his parents' divorce. After believing she has no family except her twin sister Ursula (Lisa Kudrow), Phoebe becomes acquainted with her half-brother (Giovanni Ribisi) and birth mother (Teri Garr). Joey develops a relationship with his acting partner Kate (Dina Meyer), and Monica begins a relationship with millionaire Pete Becker (Jon Favreau) which ends because of disagreements between the two.

The One With the Metaphorical Tunnel - S3E04
Joey appears in an infomercial for the Milk Master 2000. Phoebe forgets to tell Joey about an audition... but makes it up to him by calling the casting director and pretending to be an agent; Joey asks her to represent him full time. Ross has a hard time accepting that his son plays with a Barbie doll; he tries to get him interested in more masculine toys. Chandler is scared of the "tunnel" of commitment until Joey convinces him to face his fears... but then Chandler overdoes it and scares Janice away for a while. Monica and Rachel welcome Chandler to "their side of the tunnel" and console him with ice-cream.

Joey: He does a commercial and is called "Kevin" by his friends. It's an "Amazing Discovery" that garantees to open a milkcarton. Phoebe thinks Joey suffered enough and changes the channel. It turns out he's in a similar commercial on that channel too. He asks Phoebe to call for more auditions after he got the part.

Chandler: He doesn't want to see Janice because he realises they are becoming a couple. His freinds convince him to go to the metaphorical tunnel and to face his fear and become a commited guy. He gives Janice a drawer, but he scares her away. She calls him after they run in eachother by accident on purpose.

Ross: Ben's coming over and has a Barbie. He tries to take the Barbie away and give him a monstertruck, dinosoldier, GI Joe,... Monica tells about Ross used to dress up like a woman. He made them call him Bea.

Rachel & Monica: After Chandler scares Janice away he talks to the girls. They comfort her with ice-cream. She said she called Chandler. The girls talk about damagecontrol. He has got to act loof. He runs in Janice by accident on purpose, acts loof and she calls him. Rachel's conclusion: If Janice were a guy she would be sleeping with somebody else by now.

Phoebe: She forgot to give Joey a message for an audition. She thinks it's unfair Joey doesn't get another chance for the audition. She pretends to be his agent and he gets another shot. After that she gets him some more auditions.
