New (Residential) lot: Springfield Elementary

I just started a new game a week ago and I am building some community/residential lots to match the way I play. Like this school I just built.
I always need something to base on with a purpose in mind.
This school is based on the Springfield Elementary where Bart and Lisa Simpson go.
I want to use this school with the mods by Inge Jones on http://www.simlogical.com/sl/Sims2Pages/Sims2_School.htm so I kept it to be a residential lot.

I didn't furnish it much (except for the playground) because I want to leave it CC free (the simlogical hacks are not included) and so you can play and change the lot as you want.

There are 2 parking places in front of the school for when you arrive by car. The most right parking place cannot be used when arriving on the lot. It can be used to place the car from Free Time to tinker.

Let me know what you think of it! Do you think it looks like the school of Bart and Lisa?

New Major: Smurfettology Harder

I decided to create a harder major version (no replacement) for all my custom majors.
All the skills needed were multiplied by 2. So this means that when there is default (in the custom major) 1 skillpoint needed, in this major that will be 2 skillpoints needed. (Makes it harder).

For my current and future custom majors I'll make the Easier and Harder versions. So you can choose yourself which sim can have a harder course and who can have an easier course. E.g. One campus offers the easier courses, one campus the default and one can offer the harder courses.
So one University (Neighbourhood) is easier/harder than the other.

New major: Smurfettology Easier

I decided to create an easier major for all my custom majors.
All the skills needed were divided by 2. So this means that when there is default 1 skillpoint needed, these majors will change that into 0.5 skillpoints needed. (Makes it easier).
Acadia@MTS tested this and it worked, but you can't see the 0.5 needed skillpoint in the UC. Though, you can see the required skills as in the screenshot.

New idea: How to make an expensive house affordable

While playing I noticed that the value of a house worth eg $40,000 was worth only $30,000 or even less after a few days.
So what I do if my family can't afford a house: I first let another family live in the house for about a week. Then the house is worth a lot less so when the family moves out (I use a shrub by Inge Jones to let the furniture stay in) and then the poorer family who couldnt afford the house before can move in.
In real life houses are owned by different families too (and the furniture can sometimes stay too).

I'd love to hear your comments on this idea.

New Food: Pumpkin Sub Sandwich

This was created for Halloween last year, but I am so proud of my creations then that I want to put them up again this year. I hope your sims enjoy these as much as mine.

Some extra's
I already made some sub sandwiches and there are many more to come. It might be a nice idea to open a Sub Store in your game, but there are a few things you need to know then:
- The name of the sub store in my hometown is Menssana
- The poly counts are quite high: be careful with putting a lot of sandwiches in your sub store especially when you have an older computer.
As this is cloned from lunch meat sandwiches there is a chance that your sims role a new want: "eating/preparing ... sub sandwich" like they role a want for the lunch meat sandwich.
There is a chance that when your fridge is full with fresh ingredients the sub sandwiches sparkle (as they are also made with vegetables and fresh ingredients).

One issue
When preparing a group meal the plate won't be empty when all the subs from the plate have been served. This is an error I can't help because I cloned this from lunch meat sandwich and the mesh TNW made. It also happens with the original sub sandwiches TNW made so I can't do nothing about it.

Yes, I can, but I won't create them all as I'm not confident enough in the matter. The chance is very huge that you ask something I can't create. But if it's a clone from something I already made, I might be able to create your request, so just ask and we'll see.

New idea: Friends - The One With The Giant Poking Device - S3E8

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 3:
Season three takes on a significantly greater serialized format. Rachel begins working at Bloomingdale's, an upscale department store chain, and Ross becomes jealous of her colleague, Mark. Rachel decides to take a break; and Ross, hurt and drunk, sleeps with someone else, causing Rachel to break up with him. In the meantime, Chandler has a hard time dealing with their breakup because it reminds him of his parents' divorce. After believing she has no family except her twin sister Ursula (Lisa Kudrow), Phoebe becomes acquainted with her half-brother (Giovanni Ribisi) and birth mother (Teri Garr). Joey develops a relationship with his acting partner Kate (Dina Meyer), and Monica begins a relationship with millionaire Pete Becker (Jon Favreau) which ends because of disagreements between the two.

The One With The Giant Poking Device - S3E08
Phoebe avoids going to the dentist because whenever she goes, someone dies. Joey tells Chandler about Janice kissing her husband, and Chandler confronts her. She must chose between the two men she loves; it looks like she might choose Chandler, but he decides he can't be responsible for breaking up her marriage. Ross has an emergency at the museum, so Rachel takes care of Ben; Monica bangs Ben's head. Ugly Naked Guy has a new hammock, and looks awfully still; the gang fashions a very long poking device out of chopsticks so they can make sure he's not dead. Gunther continues to brood over Rachel.

Joey: Joey tells Chandler about the kiss between Janice and her (ex-)husband when Chandler wants her to buy jewelry for her birthday.

Chandler: He confronts Janice about the kiss with her (ex-)husband. They're breaking up because she has a kid with him and wants to give her marriage another chance.

Ross: He needs to go to the museum. Rachel wants to watch Ben.
When Ross finds out it was Monica who caused the bump on Ben's head he starts to tease her.

Rachel: She made brownies. She watches Ben while Ross is at work. She watches Monica throw Ben in the air against a beam. Ross thinks Rachel did it.

Monica: She causes the bump on Ben's head. It was an accident. Ben says her name "Monica", "Monica Bang".

Phoebe: She needs to go to the dentist, but every time she goes to the dentist somebody dies. She goes, but after the visit she calls everyone to see if they're alive. Then they see Ugly Naked Guy doesn't move anymore. They poke him with a giant poking device made out of chopsticks.

Rachel and Ross have dinner with her father, which doesn't go well; the next day at brunch, Ross and Dr. Green find something to bond over. Gunther broods over Rachel. Joey Teaches a class--"Acting for Soap Operas". While trying to return the bed, Joey and Monica see Janice kissing her husband.

Joey: Has a job. He's teaching acting for soapopera's. He gets an audition for All My Children (a boxer named Nick) but one of his students gets the same audiotion. He gives him the advise to play the character supergay, but the student gets the part.

Chandler: He's together with Janice who divorces the Matressking. Her (ex-)husband uses their divorce to sell matresses (they watch a commercial together).

Ross: Tells about the museum. We hear the other's thoughts and it appears they're not listening to Ross.
He doesn't get along with Rachel's dad, but then they talk about Rachel's chriopractor and they joke about it together. His name is Bobby (Robert) Bobby.

Rachel: She and Ross are having dinner with her dad nd brunch the next day because dinner didn't go very well.

Monica: Wants to buy a bed from the Matressking. She gets a racecar bed by mistake.
When returning the bed she and Joey see Janice making out with her (ex-)husband.

Phoebe: She signs for the bed but they didn't see it's the wrong bed they delivered.

Prompted by a question from Janice, the group has a flashback revealing events which occurred three years earlier: Chandler searches for a roommate; Cute Naked Guy puts on weight; Phoebe secretly moves out of Monica's apartment; The bar is closing to make way for a coffee shop; Mr. Heckles could play the oboe; Rachel contemplates her upcoming marriage to Barry; Mr. Heckles could be Chandler's new roommate; Ross is happy that Carol has found a new friend -- Susan; One of the lifeguards dismantles a nuclear device; "Almost" relationships are revealed between Joey and Monica, Monica and Chandler, Chandler and Rachel, Ross and Phoebe.

This all happens three years earlier
The coffeehouse used to be a bar.

Joey: He just becomes Chandler's new roommate.

Chandler: He looks for a new roommate. Eric is a photographer who invites models to come over. His sister is a porn-star and he says Chandler can use her cabbin for free.
The Joey comes to look at the apartment. Chandler chooses Eric, but Mr Heckles tells Eric he is Chandler's new roommate and Joey moves in.

Ross: He tells about Carol meeting a friends Susan. He's excited about it because now Carol has a friends like Ross has the gang. He finds out she's a lesbian and Phoebe comforts him. They nearly had sex.

Rachel: She is in the bar with her previous friends who can't get over her engagement. She's critical on the waitress. Chandler notices her and after he hear her say that she wants to have sex with the first guy he sees, he starts hitting on her. Later she misses the exit on the expressway fantasising of her and Chandler.

Monica: Meets Joey in the hallway and invites him over when he moves in. He thinks she wants to have sex and she sees him naked.

Phoebe: Left Monica's place, but Monica doesn't know she moved out. She comforts Ross

Joey gets carried away with a mailbox project and ends up building an entertainment center; he mistakenly cuts Chandler's door in half in the process. Then he gets sidetracked on re-tiling Monica's bathroom floor. Phoebe hangs out with her half-brother, Frank Jr., in hopes of getting to know him better; he misunderstands when she tells him she gives people "massages and stuff". The gang all consider what five celebrities would be on their "freebie list"--people they can sleep with without anyone getting upset; Ross finally narrows his list down by eliminating Isabella Rossellini... then he bumps into her.

Joey: He is building an entertainment unit. He nearly hits Chandler with a drill. He goes to Monica's and starts re-tiling her bathroom. Annie Esposito was one of his ex-girlfriends. A list like they talk about could have save their relationship or not.

Chandler: He talks about the freebie list. Janice put David Copperfield  on hers.
Chandler's list: Kim Basinger, Cindy Crawford, Halle Berry, Yasmine Bleeth and Jessica Rabbit.

Ross: He's into the list the whole episode. He decides to not put Isabella Rosselini on it because Chandler says she is too international. When she walks into the coffee house Rachel calls her an intern and let him hit on her. But she says no.
His definite (plastified) list: Elizabeth Hurley, Susan Sarandon, Uma Thurman, Winona Ryder, Dorothy Hamill

Rachel: Nothing special happens.
Her list: Chris O'Donnel, Sting, John F. Kenedey Jr., Parker Stevenson

Monica: "First I need a boyfriend, then I can have a list."

Phoebe: She hangs out with her brother for a weekend, but he thinks she does more than just giving massages. She works in a salon. It seems they have not that much in common. He likes to melt stuff. Her birthday is February 16th and his is Octobre 25th. But in the end they had a great weekend.

New Food: Cooling Down Ice Cream

She asked me if I prefered an Ice Cream Cart with only my Ice Cream and I said "Yes", but unfortunatly she made a cart with other Ice Cream as well.

The One With the Metaphorical Tunnel - S3E04
Joey appears in an infomercial for the Milk Master 2000. Phoebe forgets to tell Joey about an audition... but makes it up to him by calling the casting director and pretending to be an agent; Joey asks her to represent him full time. Ross has a hard time accepting that his son plays with a Barbie doll; he tries to get him interested in more masculine toys. Chandler is scared of the "tunnel" of commitment until Joey convinces him to face his fears... but then Chandler overdoes it and scares Janice away for a while. Monica and Rachel welcome Chandler to "their side of the tunnel" and console him with ice-cream.

Joey: He does a commercial and is called "Kevin" by his friends. It's an "Amazing Discovery" that garantees to open a milkcarton. Phoebe thinks Joey suffered enough and changes the channel. It turns out he's in a similar commercial on that channel too. He asks Phoebe to call for more auditions after he got the part.

Chandler: He doesn't want to see Janice because he realises they are becoming a couple. His freinds convince him to go to the metaphorical tunnel and to face his fear and become a commited guy. He gives Janice a drawer, but he scares her away. She calls him after they run in eachother by accident on purpose.

Ross: Ben's coming over and has a Barbie. He tries to take the Barbie away and give him a monstertruck, dinosoldier, GI Joe,... Monica tells about Ross used to dress up like a woman. He made them call him Bea.

Rachel & Monica: After Chandler scares Janice away he talks to the girls. They comfort her with ice-cream. She said she called Chandler. The girls talk about damagecontrol. He has got to act loof. He runs in Janice by accident on purpose, acts loof and she calls him. Rachel's conclusion: If Janice were a guy she would be sleeping with somebody else by now.

Phoebe: She forgot to give Joey a message for an audition. She thinks it's unfair Joey doesn't get another chance for the audition. She pretends to be his agent and he gets another shot. After that she gets him some more auditions.

New Majors: Maxis Majors Harder

Acadia @ MTS requested easier majors. So I thought then there can be harder majors than default too.
But actually she requested default replacements for the Maxis Majors. I uploaded them in June this year.
In this blogpost you'll find the Maxis' majors Harder version as a non default replacement.
They have all a new GUID so you can have the Maxis default version together with this harder version.
In this harder version I multiplied the needed skills by 2.
So this means that when there is default 1 skillpoint needed, these majors will change that into 2 skillpoints needed. (Makes it harder).

For my current and future custom majors I'll make the Easier and Harder versions. So you can choose yourself which sim can have a harder course and who can have an easier course. E.g. One campus offers the easier courses, one campus the default and one can offer the harder courses.
So one University (Neighbourhood) is easier than the other.

New Majors: Maxis Majors Easier

These were requested by Acadia @ MTS.
But actually she requested default replacements for the Maxis Majors. I uploaded them in June this year.
In this blogpost you'll find the Maxis' majors Easier version as a non default replacement.
They have all a new GUID so you can have the Maxis default version together with this easier version.
All the skills needed were divided by 2. So this means that when there is default 1 skillpoint needed, these majors will change that into 0.5 skillpoints needed. (Makes it easier).
Acadia tested this and it worked, but you can't see the 0.5 needed skillpoint in the UC. Though, you can see the required skills as in the screenshot.

The One With the Jam - S3E03
Joey falls while jumping on the bed and dislocates his arm. Monica tries to stay busy to keep her mind off Richard. First, she makes a lot of jam, which Joey loves. Second, she begins screen sperm donors--and runs into Joey's file. Phoebe is followed by her sister's stalker (Malcolm)... then starts dating him. Chandler seeks advice on relationships from Rachel and Ross. Ross secretly tells him about the "hug and roll"--a maneuver designed to end the cuddling and give you some space. Chandler tries it out but ends up dumping Janice on the floor.

Joey: Joey jumps on the bed and dislocates his arm with falling.

Chandler: He asks Rachel and Ross for relationshipadvice. He tries out the hug and roll thing Ross tells him about, but Janice rolls on the floor.

Ross: He tells Chandler about the hug and roll trick, but Janice tells that to Rachel...

Rachel: She a bit mad at Ross for the hug and roll trick.

Monica: She makes a lot of jam. She's going to sell it. She has to be busy to get over Richard. The jam plan is too expensive so she wants a baby. She goes trough the sperm donors and it turns out Joey donated before. She leaves the idea after talking to Joey about he saw her future with her man.

Phoebe: Her sister's stalker thinks she is Ursula. She feels sorry for him and starts to date him (Malcolm). But she wants him to quit stalking. After it turned out that he can't quit, she blows off the relationship. Before he was a normal guy who sells beepers and cellphones.

Where and when to find it
It appears during lunch and dinner times.
It's found in the fridge under a custom menu Serve Dessert.../S2I's "Name of Cupcake"
It requires 6 cooking skill as this has been cloned from "layer cake".
The sims eat this with a fork (it's all exactly the same as the layer cake).

Good to know
All my food will be created the same way. I want all the food I create to have a menu with the same structure. (Past created food will be updated.)

Extra's
As this is cloned from layer cake there is a chance that your sims role a new want: "eating/preparing ... “Name of cupcake" like they role a want for the layer cake.

One issue
The plate won't be empty when the cupcake has been eaten. This is an error I can't help because I cloned this from the mesh Exnem made and I don't know how to change it.

Ingredients Tray is 722.
Prep State is 1,334.
Serving Size is 2,338.
Single Serve and Plate is 543.

New Food: Speciale Sub Sandwich

This is a delicious sub sandwich based on meatball slices, mayo, ketchup and onion.
It's inspired by the same named sub sandwich from the sub sandwich store in my hometown.
It's basically cloned from the Sub Sandwiches from TheNinthWave. His policy allows that.

Some extra's
I already made some sub sandwiches and there are many more to come. It might be a nice idea to open a Sub Store in your game, but there are a few things you need to know then:
- The name of the sub store in my hometown is Menssana
- The poly counts are quite high: be careful with putting a lot of sandwiches in your sub store especially when you have an older computer.
As this is cloned from lunch meat sandwiches there is a chance that your sims role a new want: "eating/preparing ... sub sandwich" like they role a want for the lunch meat sandwich.
There is a chance that when your fridge is full with fresh ingredients the sub sandwiches sparkle (as they are also made with vegetables and fresh ingredients).

One issue
When preparing a group meal the plate won't be empty when all the subs from the plate have been served. This is an error I can't help because I cloned this from lunch meat sandwich and the mesh TNW made. It also happens with the original sub sandwiches TNW made so I can't do nothing about it.

Can you make more food items?
Yes, I can, but I won't create them all as I'm not confident enough in the matter. The chance is very huge that you ask something I can't create. But if it's a clone from something I already made, I might be able to create your request, so just ask and we'll see.
This food is quite simple to make if you follow my tutorial. I suggest you try it yourself.
You can also do a suggestion and it might give me some ideas.

The One Where No One's Ready - S3E02
Ross has an important night but no one else is ready to go. Joey and Chandler fight about chairs and clothes. Joey spills humus on Phoebe's dress. Monica hears an old message from Richard and thinks that it might be new; she leaves him a message which she then tries to erase, but just makes it worse. Rachel can't decide what to wear; Ross gets angry and Rachel decides not to go... unless he drinks the fat.

Joey & Chandler: Has is not dressed yet. He goes sitting on Chandler's chair after he went to the bathroom. They get a fight and Phoebe's dress gets stained during their fight.

Ross: There's a benefitnight at the museum. It's his big night, but no one's ready. Phoebe is, but her dress is stained, Joey and Chandler have a fight, Monica is busy with Richard's message and Rachel can't decide what to wear. He gets mad at her in front of their friends and has a hard time to convince her going after that.

Rachel: She and Ross are having dinner with her dad nd brunch the next day because dinner didn't go very well. Rachel's sister calls and asked if she ever dated Donny Mazio because he was shouting two for two.
She can't decide what to wear, but after Ross gets mad at her, she doens't want to go anymore. After he wants to drink fat for her, she decides to go.

Monica: She's not ready at the beginning of the episode. They play the voicemail messages and Richard asked Monica to call her. But they don't know if it's an old or new message. She calls him and leaves a "breezy" message. She knows the code of Richard's answering machine and calls it so the others can listen to her message. But then she also hears another message on his voicemail. It's a woman. She thinks it's his daughter Michelle and calls her to find out. She tells her what happened and Michelle hangs up.
She wants to delete her message on his answering machine, but then she records a new outgoing message.

Phoebe: She's ready at the beginning. Then her dress gets stained, but she uses a Christmas ornament to hide it.

Where and when to find it
It appears during lunch and dinner times.
It's found in the fridge under a custom menu Serve Dessert.../S2I's "Name of Cupcake"
It requires 6 cooking skill as this has been cloned from "layer cake".
The sims eat this with a fork (it's all exactly the same as the layer cake).

Good to know
All my food will be created the same way. I want all the food I create to have a menu with the same structure. (Past created food will be updated.)

Extra's
As this is cloned from layer cake there is a chance that your sims role a new want: "eating/preparing ... “Name of cupcake" like they role a want for the layer cake.

One issue
The plate won't be empty when the cupcake has been eaten. This is an error I can't help because I cloned this from the mesh Exnem made and I don't know how to change it.

Single Serve and Plate is 543.

New Idea: Friends - The One With The Princess Leia Fantasy - S3E01

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 3:
Season three takes on a significantly greater serialized format. Rachel begins working at Bloomingdale's, an upscale department store chain, and Ross becomes jealous of her colleague, Mark. Rachel decides to take a break; and Ross, hurt and drunk, sleeps with someone else, causing Rachel to break up with him. In the meantime, Chandler has a hard time dealing with their breakup because it reminds him of his parents' divorce. After believing she has no family except her twin sister Ursula (Lisa Kudrow), Phoebe becomes acquainted with her half-brother (Giovanni Ribisi) and birth mother (Teri Garr). Joey develops a relationship with his acting partner Kate (Dina Meyer), and Monica begins a relationship with millionaire Pete Becker (Jon Favreau) which ends because of disagreements between the two.

The One With The Princess Leia Fantasy - S3E01
Monica is dysfunctional because of her breakup with Richard. Joey can't stand having Janice around all the time; she invites him on a "day of fun" so they can get to know each other. Ross and Rachel talk about their fantasies; Rachel then tells Phoebe and Monica about Ross's Princess Leia fantasy. Phoebe and Mr. Gellar comfort Monica. Ross and Chandler share personal information, which leads to some unpleasant side effects for Ross.

Joey: He really dislikes Janice. It's a chemical thing. Although for Chandler he spends the day with Janice, but he still doesn't like her. He can be around her now at that was the whole point that he can still be around Chandler when he's with Janice.

Chandler: He's back together with Janice (who baked pancakes in the morning), but Joey doesn't like that. Chandler is very happy though. Janice is getting a divorce and has a kid by now. He wants to take Janice and Joey to a Rangers game, but Joey doesn't like her.

Ross:.He still works at the museum, but his paper has been published which is good for his career.

Rachel: She wants to know about Ross' sex fantasies. He tells her about princess Leia in Return of the Jedi. He is mad at her because she talked about it with Phoebe and Monica. She tells him to share something like that with his friends too. So he talks with Chandler who talks about his mother in bed. He ruins Ross' life.

Monica: She didn't sleep for 3 nights in a row because she cried over Richard. Phoebe tries to help her by bringing Monica to her happy place, but it doens't work. Monica's father, Jack, comes over and tells her Richard is a mess. That comforts her so much she falls asleep.

Phoebe: She helps Monica finding her happy place, but it doesn't work.

New Food: Chicory Ham Cheese Casserole

Chicory is actually something I really hate, but it's a famous Belgian dish so I serve you today Chicory with Ham & Cheese Casserole. Luckily my self-sim is not as picky on food as me.

Requirements

This is a clone of the Mexican Casserole made by TNW. So it acts as such. Meaning it's cloned from Cheese Cake and OFB is required.

Also the serving dish made by TNW is required. It's included in the zipfile.

Can you make more food items?
Yes, I can, but I won't create them all as I'm not confident enough in the matter. The chance is very huge that you ask something I can't create. But if it's a clone from something I already made, I might be able to create your request, so just ask and we'll see.
This food is quite simple to make if you follow my tutorial. I suggest you try it yourself.
You can also do a suggestion and it might give me some ideas.

New comic book: The Amazing World Of Superman

Today I present you something new. I made this a long time ago. It's a new mesh. It's a very thin book so I could make a comic book.
I know a lot of comic book series from my youth, but as not everyone knows Jommeke, Kiekeboe and Suske en Wiske, I chose for Superman. Something everyone knows.

This comic book is a new object and not a replacement.
