New Idea: Friends - The One With Phoebe's Ex-Partner - S3E14

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 3:
Season three takes on a significantly greater serialized format. Rachel begins working at Bloomingdale's, an upscale department store chain, and Ross becomes jealous of her colleague, Mark. Rachel decides to take a break; and Ross, hurt and drunk, sleeps with someone else, causing Rachel to break up with him. In the meantime, Chandler has a hard time dealing with their breakup because it reminds him of his parents' divorce. After believing she has no family except her twin sister Ursula (Lisa Kudrow), Phoebe becomes acquainted with her half-brother (Giovanni Ribisi) and birth mother (Teri Garr). Joey develops a relationship with his acting partner Kate (Dina Meyer), and Monica begins a relationship with millionaire Pete Becker (Jon Favreau) which ends because of disagreements between the two.

The One With Phoebe's Ex-Partner - S3E14
Phoebe's former singing partner (Leslie) performs at Central Perk and asks Phoebe if they can get back together. They eventually do, but soon have problems when Leslie sells "Smelly Cat" to a kitty litter company. Chandler meets a woman (Ginger) in the men's room and asks her out; coincidentally, Joey used to date her-- until an unfortunate incident occurred, involving her artificial leg. Chandler gets over the fact that she has an artificial leg, but when Ginger learns he has a third nipple, she dumps him. Ross continues to struggle with Rachel's career and her involvement with Mark. Chandler has his third nipple removed.


Joey: Is on the run for Chandler's new girlfriend Ginger. It was about 4 years ago they went out and they were on a trip to a cabin with her (annoying) little dog Pepper and by accident he threw her leg in an open fire while she was asleep.

Chandler: He meets a girl, Ginger, at the men's room in Central Perk They go out and it goes well. Chandler doesn't have a problem with the artificial leg Ginger has, but then she finds out he has a third nipple. She has a problem with that and breaks up with him. He goes to a doctor to remove it, but then he couldn't think of an obvious joke. The Source of all his Power....

Ross: He doesn't like the fact that Rachel has a new job and new life and that he's not a part of it. It's something she wants to do on her own. So he goes to a lecture about fashion with her, because otherwise she would have gone with Mark, but he falls asleep. They have a small fight over it. He says he's fine with it her doing her job on her own, but he's not.

Rachel: She needs a bit of freedom and want to do her job on her own. She doesn't want Ross to be a part of it. She went to a lecture of professor Pitain about a dinosaus having a bone they didn't know about. She's ont at all interested, but she went because it's Ross' area of expertise. So she's mad at him for falling asleep during the lecture about fashion. They fight over it. It's nearly all they do lately.

Monica: Nothing much happens to her.

Phoebe: Leslie, her ex-partner she sang with, is singing in Central Perk. She wants to be partners again. Phoebe doesn't want to because they were like best friends, but Leslie one day just said goodbye and she was gone (probably for the jingle business). She calls Phoebe over and over again, but then stops. Monica convinces Phoebe to call Leslie to be partners again. When Leslie learns about Smelly Cat she wants to sell it as a jingle, but Phoebe says no. Leslie does it anyway and Phoebe makes her choose between the jingle and being partners. Leslie chooses the jingle.
