It's not that I have much time to play because of my job, household (short: RL), but posting about the life of my simsfamilies on my blog is a motivation to create time for it as I want to have a blogpost a day.
I'm still playing the Genderswapped Uberhood by sushigal007 at Modthesims. The storylines of the families is still the same as the regular storylines so I'm not going to put that on my blog, but I'll tell their future storylines I have in mind. It appears I play a slightly different storyline because of the genderswap.
I also have put up a realistic economical and aging system which requires some Essential Mods which can be found here: http://s2idownloads.blogspot.be/p/the-essentials.html
The essentials still need to be updated once in a while. As I go on playing I notice more and more essentials and there are still many TS2 creators who create new (essential to me) mods.
The Pleasant's Year 1
The boys decided it's time to get a long a bit. It's Winter, there's snow outside and sims are never to old to make a snowman. So the teens build one together. It goes really well, but the result... Lucifer influence was the biggest probably:
Things are going well between Dusty and Angel. Also Diara and Lucifer are doing fine. As well as Diara's and Dusty's mother and father. As things aren't going excelent in the Pleasant family, maybe all the couples should live together. But what will Angel's and Lucifer's parents say about that?
This year the twins turned 16. To celebrate this Gary-Stu and Danielle spent $5,000 to finally redecorate Angel's room as it was still the wallpaper and floor from the previous owner Angela Pleasant (no related). Lucifer didn't want the redecoration so he put the money in his pink piggy bank (no he's (probably) not gay).
Meantime Danielle gave up her affair with the housekeeper. They are still friends though (needed for her job). She wants to focus on Gary-Stu again and hopes that as things are getting better in her marriage it also will between her and the boys.
Gary-Stu is happy his marriage is on the better hand, but still he is a bit in a midlife crisis. Luckily for him his wife made enough money to give him this as a present: Not bad as a kiss-offer, don't you think?
As well as his parents, Angel wants to patch things up with his brother and get him on the right track again so they can go to college together (and keep an eye on him there too).
Angel is now in the afternoon class Math and hopes this will motivate Lucifer rather than making him jealous. Angel's good influence works. Lucifer changed school (actually he changed it too vacation so he can follow a school in a teen career http://s2idownloads.blogspot.be/2018/03/new-teen-career-aso-economics-math.html) and now follows Economics-Math. So now he has good changes in college and having more than 1 scholarship as he's in level 3 already and almost maxed out his logic.
And more good news. It seems like the boys are really getting along now and are becoming friends:
The question now is: Will it stay this way for the Pleasant's and what with the chance the twins will live together with their girlfriends and their mother and father? (More about this in The Broke's Year 1 and The Dreamer's Year 1 coming soon)

Well, after finishing a part of The School Project, I am back (or at least for some dishes) on creating food (but there are also other creations upcoming).
This Fettuccine With Tomato Sauce is part of Group 3 - Main Courses It's a very suitable dish if you have little time to shop and cook!
I found some old recipes of my mother and I want my sims to be able to eat them too.

This is part 1 of the Memphis neighbourhoods I made. I wanted to create the neighbourhood around Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, but as it was too big for one terrain in SimCity4 I made 4 of them. The neighbourhood where you can find Elvis' grave is the last one and will be published on a special date.
You don't need anything to use this neighbourhood. But don't put it in your downloadfolder. You should put it in the folder EA Games/ The Sims 2/ SC4Terrains

On my blog I'll introduce you to the Genderswapped Pleasantview families I play with. I just play with about 10 families. I think that's more than enough when you know adulthood alone is in my realistic aging system 552 days.
Meet the Dreamer's
Diara is doing very well in school and started the job Law (teen) on the side as that is what she wants to study at University. Lucifer is her boyfriend and it's going really well. She has a good influence on him. He goes to ASO Economics-Math (teen career from The School Project) and has really high hopes they can go to University together.
Darell just loves painting. She hopes one day she can make a living from just selling paintings, but for the moment she still needs a job too. So she is TS4 Entertainer - Comedian (Conversion 4t2).
She and Caspian Goth have had some chemistry between them for some time, but then Caspian was left at the altar and Mallory Landgraab was the first to swoop in. Mallory is rich herself so she probably doesn't care for Caspian's inheritance, or does she?
Anyway Darrell went on with her life and met Brandon Broke. Both are single parents so they have something in common.
Diara supports their relationship a lot because she wants to stay in the house and live there with Angel, Lucifer and Dusty.
Will Brandon and Darrell like Diara's idea to live together with the kids and let the teens live apart from them?
Will the relationship between Darrell and Brandon work out as Darrell has still a bit of feelings left for Caspian and Brandon is still not over his wife's death being busy raising his 3 children?
Grillmasters is a TV-show in Belgium (and probably more countries).

I think this is a (small) new idea for the sims games. The sims can all make something on the bbq and then they can serve it for others to judge.
In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 3:
Season three takes on a significantly greater serialized format. Rachel begins working at Bloomingdale's, an upscale department store chain, and Ross becomes jealous of her colleague, Mark. Rachel decides to take a break; and Ross, hurt and drunk, sleeps with someone else, causing Rachel to break up with him. In the meantime, Chandler has a hard time dealing with their breakup because it reminds him of his parents' divorce. After believing she has no family except her twin sister Ursula (Lisa Kudrow), Phoebe becomes acquainted with her half-brother (Giovanni Ribisi) and birth mother (Teri Garr). Joey develops a relationship with his acting partner Kate (Dina Meyer), and Monica begins a relationship with millionaire Pete Becker (Jon Favreau) which ends because of disagreements between the two.
The One With Ross's Thing - S3E23
Ross finds a growth on his body but can't tell what it is; neither can anyone else. He visits his doctor, Chandler's doctor, and Phoebe's guru. Phoebe dates two guys: Vince, a burly fireman, and Jason, a sensitive teacher. She tries but can't decide which one to break up with. Pete is out of town and tells Monica, "We need to talk," which gets her worried. The gang goes with Monica to Pete's place see how a millionaire lives; Joey finds a stub for a $50,000 check to a ring designer; Rachel begins to plan Monica's wedding.
Joey: Nothing much happens to him.
Chandler: Nothing much happens to him. Ross: He has a thing on his body but he can't see it. He talks about it to the boys only at first. He goes to his doctor who is reluctant to remove it as he can't identify it. It's benine and skinlike, but he doesn't know what it is. He goes to Chandler's doctor who calls in 15 other doctors to look at the thing.
Then he goes to Phoebe's guru, Saj. He removes the thing.
Rachel: She's totally excited about Monica getting married to Pete. Monica: Pete is out of town. She got a voicemail message that they need to talk so she thinks he wants to break up with her. When she goes water his plants she finds out he payed $50,000 to a ring designer and Rachel already thinks she's getting married. But he wants to be the Ultimate Fighting Champion. Phoebe: She's dating Vince. He's a fireman. He can't have jokes about playing with fire and is very strict about fireprevention. At the same time she's dating a kindergarten teacher, Jason. He is really sensitive. She is constantly scared they find out about eachother. She knows she has to choose. She decides to choose Jason, but she finds out Vince is also really sensitive and Jason is also really strong and handsome. She's playing in Central Perk when both guys are there to see her sing. Jason breaks up with her because she already slept with Vince and Vince breaks up with her because she has an open flame in a wooden area (candle light dinner for Jason).
This is downtown a city I really really love. It's really loosely based because in real life it has a lot of diagonal roads and little side roads. But I am happy with it.

This terrain is based on a neighbourhood I once lived in. I couldn't make the terrain and neighbourhood exactly how it was as TS2 doesn't allow diagonal roads, but it feels nice.

One thing I don't like about elders is the way they walk. How I Play the game, sims are about 65 years old when growing up from adult to elder, but they look way way older. So I found this thread at MTS that maybe has the solution. I haven't had the time to test it yet, but I'm keeping my hopes up that I find something that makes it work.

In the UK and Belgium (and probably more countries) there's this TV-show where 4 people cook one evening each for the others and entertain them at their house. In the end of the evening they give eachother marks and the winner gets a price (can be different from tv-season to tv-season).
I think this might be something a real simmer can play in TS2, 3 and 4. You can give a money price or an object and change the funds again so it was a real gift.
Most of the time the participants have some special interests or a special collection or character.

The One With The Screamer - S3E22
Phoebe waits on hold so she can have her phone repaired before the warranty expires. The gang goes to Joey's play on opening night. Rachel dates Tommy, who seems pretty nice... except when he starts screaming at people; however, only Ross witnesses this behavior and can't convince anyone else. Joey's play gets bad reviews, prompting the director to break up with Kate; Joey and Kate spend the night talking and falling in love. Kate gets a job offer in L.A. and decides to leave.
Joey: They are going to watch Joey's play on opening night and he asks who needs how many tickets. He is excited because his friends finally meet Kate. The play gets a bad review. He tells Kate he gave up on a job for this play: declawing cats. He and Kate fall in love after the director dumps Kte, but it's just for 1 night as Kate is casted for General Hospital.
Chandler: Nothing special happens to him. Ross: He brings a date to the play, but it's awkward saying that in front of Rachel. It's someone from his work, Cailin. Then Rachel says she has a date too. Ross doesn't like her date. He says he screams to people, but no one believes me till the end. Rachel's date scream at the chick and the duck.
Rachel: First she only needs one ticket, but when Ross says he has a date she asks for two tickets. When he's gone she starts looking for a date. She finds Tommy. Monica: She needs two tickets. 'Cause she has a boyfriend now, Pete. She and Rachel are asked by Estelle if they're actresses. Phoebe: Phoebe's phone broke the day before the warranty expires. She's on the line for 48 hours. She kept herself busy while hanging on the line by putting Monica's stuff in Rachel's room and Rachel's stuff in Monica's room.
This terrain is based on a very small part of Little Paris that's the name of a neighbourhood in Belgium I really like. It's nice and quite, but it's still not far from Da City (terrain that's coming up next).
As always this is just a plain neighbourhood so you can decorate it as much as you like.

This is not so much a teen career. It's a new school system. You can compare it to the 7 years of Hogwarts I made as 7 teen careers.
But now the teens don't attend Hogwarts. They attend the Belgian School System.

Keep in mind
- Teens need to change to the "Vacation" school type found here: http://s2idownloads.blogspot.be/2013/12/new-school-boarding-school-vacation.html
- Though teens don't go to regular school and don't make homework, they need to work very hard on their skills.
- If you use another school type (like my school in shifts), teens can still go to school.
- This is very interesting if you want your sims to go to college, but even when they don't go to college it's good to follow this school system to have some skills already when they start a career.
- There's an upgrade for every career suiting the field of study the sim chose. This is not so much a teen career. It's a new school system. You can compare it to the 7 years of Hogwarts I made as 7 teen careers.
But now the teens don't attend Hogwarts. They attend the Belgian School System.

- This is very interesting if you want your sims to go to college, but even when they don't go to college it's good to follow this school system to have some skills already when they start a career.

When you follow the link to the blog jennasims2, you'll see a list of things you should not do if you want to avoid corruption. Even when you don't have any downloads in your downloadfolder and play by the book, your neighbourhood can get corrupted so badly that you might lose it. Even after years of playing and not noticing any symptons. It's not because you don't see any errors or glitches that your game isn't corrupted.

In general the idea is to give you one episode per blogpost. In every blogpost I'll shortly describe what happens with the six main characters of Friends in that certain episode. SPOILER

General happenings season 3:
Season three takes on a significantly greater serialized format. Rachel begins working at Bloomingdale's, an upscale department store chain, and Ross becomes jealous of her colleague, Mark. Rachel decides to take a break; and Ross, hurt and drunk, sleeps with someone else, causing Rachel to break up with him. In the meantime, Chandler has a hard time dealing with their breakup because it reminds him of his parents' divorce. After believing she has no family except her twin sister Ursula (Lisa Kudrow), Phoebe becomes acquainted with her half-brother (Giovanni Ribisi) and birth mother (Teri Garr). Joey develops a relationship with his acting partner Kate (Dina Meyer), and Monica begins a relationship with millionaire Pete Becker (Jon Favreau) which ends because of disagreements between the two.
The One With a Chick And a Duck - S3E21
The diner where Monica works puts their staff on roller-skates; Monica crashes into Rachel while skating; Rachel's injuries are worse than first believed. Pete buys a restaurant and offers Monica a job as head chef; she's unsure whether to take it, since she still isn't attracted to Pete. Pete makes up a story about another woman so Monica will think he's over her; Phoebe sees right through it but promises not to tell Monica. Joey buys a pet chick for Chandler, but caring for it becomes a source of conflict. Ross has a chance to be on TV as part of a panel of Paleontologists, but gives it up to take Rachel to the hospital. Monica and Pete are about to stop seeing each other, but then they kiss... and Monica finally feels it.
Joey: He thinks with the goatee Chandler looks like Satan. He is still crying over Kate. While at home (crying over Kate) he watches a commercial about adopting a chick.
Chandler: He starts having a goatee (ringbeard). He and Joey are starting to fight over the chick (Chandler has to take care of it most of the time and thinks Joey should stay at home with them). So maybe they weren't ready for a chick. Chandler takes it back to the shelter, but if no one else adopts it, they will have to kill it. So he takes the chick home again and aparantly a duck too. Ross: He's going to be on TV. They are putting together a panel to talk about the fossils in Peru and the Discovery Channel is going to film it, but when he has to leave for it, it appears Rachel needs him to go to the hospital so he cancelled it.
Rachel: Rachel hurt her side, but it's only after a while she decides to go to the hospital. She asks Ross to help her to get ready for going to her boss's house there are a lot of people there she has to meet. But it hurts too much so she goes to the hospital with Ross on her side instead. Monica: Phoebe had the idea of the personel skating through the dinner Moondance, put it in the idea box and now Monica has to learn skating.She falls on Rachel.
She's happy to see Pete again. He has bought a restaurant and he wants Monica to be the head-chef. But she can't accept it because he's doing it out of love. Even though it has been her dream since she had her first Easy-Bake Oven and wanted to open Easy Monica's Bakkery. She also couldn't accept a necklace from Stu Vincent in the 7th Grade. But apparantly he was her Health teacher. Still in the conversation of rejecting the joboffer she starts kissing Pete. Phoebe: Nothing much happens to her.
This is the third new terrain map. I stopped playing Pokemon after the second generation came out (yes, I am already that old) so I won't making a Hoenn (or other) map from Pokemon.

The very first time I created a hood was a few months ago. Now I have made my second one and that means I thought I needed to update the first one. The first one worked perfectly as well, but I didn't know then how to create the previews of lush, concrete, dirt and desert. But now I do.
So I now made those previews and I uploaded it again.
This hood has now a sligtly different name, so overwriting won't work. If you haven't used the previous hood (terrain) yet, you can just delete it and put the new one in the correct folder. If you have already created a hood with the previous terrain, I'd advise to just add this hood as well if you want to have the preview in future.
You don't need anything to use this neighbourhood. But don't put it in your downloadfolder. You should put it in the folder EA Games/ The Sims 2/ SC4Terrains
